Forging a cat bottle opener. Hand forged with hammer and anvil.

Hand forging a cat bottle opener using traditional blacksmithing techiques: hammer and anvil. The starting stock is pre-cut for the tail (on the end of the stock). Key steps: punching the initial hole, drifting the hole to 1" in diameter, drawing out the tail and shaping it, shaping the cat ears, drawing out the tab, and then the whiskers! This is a fun project to forge and everyone really likes them!

@@Hatchmade Flat bar is definitely easier if doing a punched hole! The video shows a regular punch which requires more drifting. At 3/4" slot punched hole requires less drifting (requires you to be more accurate with the initial hole, however).
