I agree, this is more a Da Dao . Naginata is a polearm. Should also have a longer tang. It's pretty though.

This is more of a dadao rather than naginata, the handle's too short. Also the blade tang should be at least twice as long to prevent snapping due to high inertia when swinging the blade. But still, awesome :)

The blade is the wrong shape too. It should be a katana blade on a spear shaft

Nice "naginata", looks good and all. But that tang is way to short for that heavy blade...It would turn that "naginata" into a "short staff" very quickly... Personally i would have welded on a long rebar to make the tang at least double length, so you could actually use it and not just be a wall hanger.

Tang is wath too short. This weapon, while pretty, will never be anything more than a wall hanger. Its also a little short for a polearm like a naginata.

This is a Guandao. Not a Naginata. A Naginata is a slightly shorter Katana at the end of a stick. This is a Dao at the end of a stick. One of these things just doesn't belong here
