That's why I love blowguns. You can literally improvise and use all the materials you have to make all kinds of darts. And it's not affected by weather conditions at all. Blowgun's power and accuracy is limited compared to other weapons, but It has the best durability and consistency among other DIY weapons and never dissapoints it's user. -Alcohol gun not firing in cold weather because Alcohol evoporates at 37C. I tried butane as a fuel but its not good as Alcohol. When using butane, reloading takes at least 2 min. -Slingshots lose their power in cold weather. Some people in slingshot forums say that they lost 100 FPS when the weather is cold. -I don't own one yet but as far as I know PVC/Wood Bows become brittle and lost their most of power in cold weather.

Spot on! Blowgun might be the weakest of all "primitive weapons", but it's advantage is exactly what you pointed out! That's why Tim Wells is reliably using it for hunting, just simple and reliable! Your place is snowing now?
