Piękna robota! Świetny wzór dziweru wyszedł. Czy to było zgrzewane tak jak oryginał? Chodzi mi o ułożenie poszczególnych elementów (tulei, rdzenia, skrętek itp)

Dzięki. Na zdjęciu RTG widać dosyć dokładnie dogrzaną tuleję i 4 sznury dziweru, reszta szczegółów konstrukcyjnych jest nie widoczna. Wzorowałem się na analogach, np. norweskim grocie z Kaupang gdzie szczegóły budowy są dobrze widoczne.

This is a great educational video, thank you very much! The iron which forms the socket looked very thick, is it necessary for a solid socket? I guess it will add a lot of weight.

The thick of the material in the socket is more less the same as in the original find.

I rescale the drawings of the finds in grafic soft and plot it using large scale printer.

I was able to handle one in a museum (winged spear/lance 548mm). On that it was obvious that the socket was welded on after the blade was completed with the different components. Untwisted parts of the twisted bars where covert by the weld of the socket. I found it interesting that only the dark layers of the 7 layered twisted bars ware made from 7 layers them self. The light coloured layers in the twisted bars looked homogeneous. Maybe because darker material is more brittle than the cleaner (less P) material? The outer layers of those (inner) layers ware lighter coloured and had 3 dark coloured layers in them (maybe a bid thicker than the lighter coloured).
