While Duet carries out a lot of emotional impact when you first discover it in the game, this is the song that lasts with me the most, the one that gives me goosebumps, the one that makes me feel and think the most.

Omori ost is bittersweet overall and meant to make you feel things, my favorites for example are "You must carry on" and "By your side". I like them for the same reason as to why I like "Final duet" and Omori theme

Omori is a game about trauma and forgiving yourself for making a mistake. Sunny never meant to kill his sister. Hell, if that broken violin wasn't there, Mari probably would have survived. I think we all do things we regret in the heat of the moment, but due to all the circumstances, Sunny ended up killing his sister in the process. I understand that Sunny did undeniably bad things, but he was a kid who let his emotions get the better of him in the moment.

Clever. I found the piano rendition a while ago and thought it was beautiful, but kinda empty, but also a lot more hopeful than the original, combining it with the original was a really good idea and you did a great job. I love that you titled it "Forgive yourself," very reminiscent of the game's themes and very fitting of this rendition of the song. Well done!

If you truly want to become a better person, you have to. That is the only way. Even if you think you don't deserve forgiveness, you must learn to forgive yourself, as only then will you be able to make things right. And if you really think you can't forgive yourself no matter what, then find a person who can. Person who knows and cares about you.

Then there will be 2 voices, one from above, telling you how stupid and worthless you were, how lazy and virtueless you are, how much time you waste and to look at yourself now and how ugly you made yourself be. Meanwhile the 2nd voice is lying on dirt with you and says, don’t worry, I got this. With compassion and love. The truth is that god loved so much the world he gave his one and only son. Jesus could had snap his fingers and solved everything but he did not but rather lie on the dirt of everything, not only of his flesh but of the entire world, and he defeated the world’s evil permanently. So you decide, you can only listen to one voice. The one from above or the one lying on the dirt who has already defeated the world.

You really should forgive yourself. It's freeing to forgive yourself for whatever you might have done. Whatever if it's your fault, not your fault, a little, a lot. In the end whether you feel great and not won't change the wilder scale of the world, but, it will change you, it will make you feel better and happier. Being guilty proves that you reconize you made a mistake. It's up to you to either fix it or learn from it or never do that mistake again. Treat yourself, you deserve to be happy. (i really hope it doesn't sound offensive that's not the intention i'm sorry if I sounded like a was 😭😭)

You might need outside help, even Sunny couldn't forgive himself on his own! Talk to people who do still love you and ask for their perspectives, look for good books and other resources about forgiveness and moving on from guilt, talk to a therapist even! I promise there is healing for you, you just need to learn a different way to think about things!

Neither can I, yet I try to. Because no matter how much I try, I will reach a point where I can. Even depression allows forgiveness. Even sh allows forgiveness. Ask yourself: Am I worthy of forgiveness? If you don’t respond to yourself with any other answer than “yes” then find people who enjoy your company, your time spent with them. Talk to a therapist. You will find forgiveness for yourself. You just have to dig deeper to find it.

Forgiveness isn't deserved, by nature - mercy is given as a gift, not earned, otherwise there wouldn't be anything to forgive! Ultimately, it doesn't matter what you deserve, it matters what will make things better going forward - for everyone, and that includes you. How can you turn your feelings into something positive to improve the negative situation you have created, or at least turn yourself into a creator of good things in the world not just bad ones? (And this is a bit of a rhetorical auestion because I don't expect anyone to have the answer on their own; you will probably need to do some reading up on moving on from guilt, talking to other people who know the situation, or talking with a professional.)

it doesn't matter who you hurt, or how close they thought they were to you. all that matters is that hurting them felt good, and was good for your. Convenience secured in blood. Corporations and individuals under them both know this well. Why should I forgive myself for choosing to be born wrong. There is some wounds impossible to discard, laugh off, minimize or accept. Not when its been felt so much longer than I have kept track of, realized it even existed. Justice is a business. Hospitals are a business. Friendship is a business. Friendship is a business. Maybe thats why. Huh. If sacrifces are a result of simple economics, compassion and attachment must be as well at the other end. Some, some day. I have stuff to hope for, work for, reasons to beleive positive exists. Even if its an ardourous and luck hingent rotating of the dial barely less hot. I have to beleive my body will let me do it one day, that it stops me and takes control of me when i have a chance to do it because I havent earned it yet. Testing my theory, reading about CPS, it makes me feel a little better knowing that some places are consistent in how they treat garbage.

You have to. It doesn't even matter if you deserve forgiveness or not. Fact is, if you want to become a better person, you HAVE to forgive yourself. That is the only way. Forgiving yourself doesn't make up for your mistakes, but it allows you to move forward and actually make things right.
