Like the message but not enough insight is given or understood why the Pharisee said that. Let me ask by what authority is our Lord forgiving sin before going to the cross.

Jesus Christ gave Authority to His Apostles His Church founded on Rock to forgive or retain sins. John 20: 21He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. AS THE FATHER HATH SENT ME, I ALSO SEND YOU. 22When he had said this, he breathed on them; and he said to them: Receive ye the Holy Ghost. 23WHOSE SINS YOU FORGIVE, THEY ARE FORGIVEN THEM; AND WHOSE SINS YOU SHALL RETAIN, THEY ARE RETAINED. We must forgive our bothers and sister who has sinned against us 70X7X. HOWEVER, the Church can forgive mens sins and they can retain man sins, no other but the Church can retain sins. Did this Authority that Jesus gave to His Apostles to for give or retain sins, end with the 12 Apostles deaths, if this is true, THEN WE ARE LOST! Truth is we are not lost, because Jesus Christ left His Church founded on Rock where we can go to the successors of the Apostles in order to have our sins forgiven. Amen Today Many if not all protestants act like the jews in scripture when they said: "How can this man forgive sins" aka how can a Catholic priest forgive sins! If you want your sins forgiven you must go and see a Catholic Priest, simple this is how God wants us to be forgiven for He SAYS SO IN: John 20: 21-23 If you want to get married you need a priest, you can not marry yourselves, if you want to be baptized you need a priest, you can not baptize yourselves, if you want to be ordained priest you need a Priest / Bishop / etc.. You can not ordain yourselves, SAME WITH, IF YOU WANT TO HAVE YOUR SINS FORGIVEN YOU NEED A CATHOLIC PRIEST!!! (THIS IS HOW JESUS WANTS US TO GO TO HIM TO BE FORGIVEN) The Catholic Church has been forgiving and retaining sins from day one to this very day. Yes, I to go directly to Jesus Christ myself when I sin, but how do I know, if I am forgiven or have my sins retained by Jesus? I don't, therefore I need to go to His Church and there the Priest will tell me if my sins our forgiven or retained, praise be to God that I never had my sins retained, and I pray I never will.
