Forgiving Unfair // Life is Unfair A true champion must always overcome unfair. There will be a game where people do unfair things that they are not held accountable for. When it comes to forgiveness, forgiveness is always needed in an unfair situation. Jesus is our champion. Everything He went through for us, was unfair. 2 Corinthians 2:14 - when we’re in Christ, we will see a victory. We always talk about triumph, since triumph means victory. But victory means battle. Going from victory to victory, is going from battle to battle. You cannot have a victory if you don’t have the battle. Victory is on the other side of the battle. Battles are always unfair. When you’re in a battle, you don’t fight fair; unfair always happens, which leads to offense. In a battle, you have a high chance of being offended. The reason why most people do not forgive, is because nobody in their life acknowledged that what happened to you was unfair. Therefore you have the need to protect yourself. What happened to you, was unfair. What they did to you, was unfair. You didn’t deserve it, but you still got it. That was unfair. Unfair is never fair. You can never make fair out of an unfair situation. We often try to do that, trying to make it better than it is. But it was unfair, and you didn’t deserve it. It was unfair, but what do you do when it’s your reality? The only way to fix something, is to validate it first. God wants to illuminate stuff in your life, so you acknowledge it. John 16:33 You will have so many battles, it’s gonna be unfair everywhere. But Jesus has overcome the world. People in fake forgiveness university are prideful, keep count of their offenses, think forgiveness is optional, give people what they deserve, focus on the fault of others, only forgive in fair situations. People in forgiveness university are humble, lose count of offenses, know forgiveness is mandatory, give grace to people that don’t deserve it, focus on the forgiveness provided by the Father, and forgive when circumstances are unfair. Chair 1: the chair of betrayal. You only get betrayed by people that you trust. Some of us have been sitting in this chair, since it was unfair what happened to us. The enemy wants you to sit here and become comfortable. People would rather stay here, than finish the call of God on their life. Joseph did not stay seated in betrayal. He was able to keep moving, even if it was unfair what happened to him. He got in charge of the house of Potifar. But then he gets accused of attempt of rape. He suffered full consequences for something he didn’t do. Chair 2: the chair of blame. People got blamed for things that they aren’t or didn’t do. Now people remain in this chair, blaming everyone and everything. if you don’t move from this chair, you start replaying the situation and you start changing your character. You start thinking ‘I should have done this and that’. Joseph didn’t remain in this chair. He was still able to be used by God. You can always find somebody who agrees with your disfunction. But because Joseph saw blame, but didn’t sit in it, he still wanted to be used by God. God can still you, even if what’s happening to you is unfair! Chair 3: the chair of bypass. When people don’t see you, don’t seem to care about you, don’t choose you, you can take a seat here. The devil wants you to sit here, and be insecure since you’re always bypassed. It’s unfair that they don’t see you, that they keep bypassing you. But are you gonna stay here for the rest of your life? The enemy wants you to stay seated. If you remain seated, your motivation will be no longer your purpose, it will be your pain. Joseph was bypassed for two years, he remained two years in jail. But he was still able to remain useful to God. He was able to go to the pharaoh, because he was able to forgive unfair. Are you still useful to God, even if what happened to you was unfair? If you can move on from the betrayal, blame and bypass, you are going for the upgrade. But when Joseph became successful, the test wasn’t over. He was in a seat of power and the people who betrayed him, needed his blessing. Chair 4: the chair of bitterness. When we sit here, the ultimate plan of God for our life gets distorted, because we think they don’t deserve our help and forgiveness. Are you going to reach your purpose, or remain in this seat? Joseph managed to manage these chairs, he figured out how to forgive unfair. You get opportunities to receive betrayal, blame, bypass and forgiveness, but you need to deal with them in order to reach purpose. Could God trust you with the life of the person who betrays you? If you’re ever gonna walk in the blessing that God has called you to be, you gotta be able to forgive people who have done things to you that were unfair. They may never apologise, but can you forgive them? Hebrews 12:15 When you let bitterness be the root of your success, the reason why you form friends, the reason why you go into a certain direction, destruction will follow. You can do the right things the wrong way. If you’re going to forgive unfair: - Believe God is with you - Genesis 39:2-3 / Isaiah 41:10 - Being in an unfair situation doesn’t release you of your responsibility. The season is hard, but God is still good!! James 1:12 - Serve when it sucks. Pray for people when it sucks. Colossians 3:23 - Don’t name out of your pain - Genesis 45:50 - when Joseph got the upgrade, he had two sons. God made him forget all his troubles, and has made him fruitful. Name it a practise round, not a failure. If you already decided that this is the worst thing ever that is not gonna bring out any good, God cannot work. Don’t put a period where God wanted a comma. Surrender your chair. Jesus took up all the space in the chairs, so you wouldn’t have to sit there. Unfair surrender to God is not a destination, it’s a direction. every unfair situation was needed for the direction.

This was for me...Been going through a lot. I feel like it goes on and on at times, and the thing is, people forget you're a grown woman and continue feel the need they need to speak to me a certain way and not look at the way they are carrying on. No apology, will not, and will never, as I have never heard it come out their mouths, as long as I've known them. Thank you for this word, as I am a person who checks myself and pray for myself all the time. I am not perfect but I do know how honest I am when I come before God about ME. This has been bothering me to the point I say no more. I've done my part. BUT I will no longer allow you to hurt me. I've said I love you but i will not go round in circles trying to make things right between us if you don't want to. All I can do is pray for them. It is unfair and at times you have to let go in order to move to the next level and love from afar. I'm a working process and I don't want to have bitterness or anger against anyone... God was speaking to me from the very first sermon. My brothers & sisters please pray for me. Even through it hurts I truly want to forgive my husband for his continuous adultery & the 4 kids he had outside of our marriage. He says he is no longer living that life but because of his past history I can’t trust him so I’m holding on to the hurt & I can’t move fwd. I do understand that healing has to take place is my life because I’ve been so badly broken. But I have to first forgive him for me to start my healing.
