She has only been in 15 episodes but Elizabeth Counsell as Gloria has been spectacular. Some of the best acting in Eastenders ever - deserves an award. Shame they couldn’t make her a permanent character. A real character actor - they just don’t make them like her anymore.

I feel Eddie never allowed Gloria to have a feeling, opinion or a thought of her own. She wasn't a strong enough person to stand up to him and get from under his wickedness. She had a very sad life and a very sad ending.

Gloria is just as bad as Eddie imo. She is selfish, keeping George away from his birth family when she knew good and well they wanted him back. They gave him to them as a temporary situation and she knew this, but just because she fell in love and couldn’t part with him she gave her racist husband the green light to stop him from going back with his birth father by any means necessary. Then to make it worse she let Eddie treat him badly for years, she lied to him his entire life, and kept him away from his real family to raise him in a hostile environment where he wasn’t wanted. She is just as evil as Eddie, and if I was George I would tell her were she could stick her apology.

I wouldn’t have said George bullied her….obviously he will feel awful for everything that happened over the last month but at least they made peace before her passing
