Knocking aside, that’s a great car. I’ve always liked that bodystyle Oldsmobile. And I have to say that some of the best days of my 63 years have been spent working on old cars along side my brother. Brothers, at least in the case of me and mine, tend to think alike, so the thought processes of what to do and how to do it are largely in sync, making the whole process go much more smoothly and enjoyably.

@@americanfamiliesfirst3747 back when this F85 was slapped together, the "crazy" olds setup was a diesel 350 block with a DMR or Mondello stroker kit using a 425 cut down crank for 440 cid or so. but in a car light enough, even a Toronado forged crank 455 could get rubbed on to generate 500 ft lbs of torque by 2,000 rpm...that was enough with a highway gear to have some fun against your buddy who had a chevy and needed a 3,000 rpm stall speed and 4.10:1 gears.
