That is a nice minnow fly. When the marabou gets wet and the peacock and flash shine through the slim profile it will really attract meat eaters. Thanks.

Nice fly Matt. I'm wondering it the KC stands for Kansas City, don't know and it probably really doesn't matter, it's still a neat fly. As for colors I can see a bunch of them but red and white jump out at me.. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.

Not sure about that reference for the Eagles? SKOL Vikings!! Now that that is out of the way. The KC Special reminds me of the Cardinelle Streamer, instead of tinsel body; it has a wool body. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on fly tying.

Love the pattern. I am heading to my work bench. I am thinking about adding one more material silver small wire as ribbing. I would change the hook style to Jackson. That will make more interesting in the water for the fish

This doesn't refer to this fly . What sun glasses do you recommend , new to trout on the fly , yet to make a cast , still tying to fill box , anyone else free to answer too .

Welcome Rod! I'd say anything polarized that has a strap so you can wear them around your neck when not needed. I have some from Smith Optical that are very nice but I also have some from Walmart that work pretty well too.
