Marvelous simply marvelous,it was my second home,I cried in 1998 when we fell out of the league and again in 2006 at the forest game,I should have been in Lanzarote but sent the family and stayed back for the game,I was a Steward, Chief steward, fire officer and on 2 occasions chief safety steward.i finished off as a turnstile operator and have a brick in the new stadium,Nick Clarke turnstile 14. Some fantastic and hart breaking days there. Stood with the same people on hundreds of occasions before becoming a Steward, will go back in August to look at the housing estate 😭😭

Used to go with my dad as a young lad in the mid 70s. You could walk around the ground. So started in the Rossington end or the Town end depending on which way Rovers were playing.

Reminds me of Feethams in Darlington, you could change ends at half time.

As a lifelong Rovers supporter I have many many memories of my visits to Belle Vue. My first game was a Division 3 game against Aston Villa in 1971 and since then I have seen many highs, beating first division QPR in the FA Cup and two League Cup runs both to the Quarter Finals, also some very low dark times. I miss the old ground but Rovers needed the move away from Belle Vue

Donny had some great players that have played at Belle Vue. Peter Doherty and the great Alick Jeffries to name a few.

I went in 2004 to watch Man City in a pre season friendly. It was an awful game and the only highlight was Joey Barton starting a fight. The ground really was well past its sell by date and I remember driving through a field to avoid the queue to leave the car park after.

I know during demolition in 2007, there was an explosion at Belle Vue which injured two workers.

Only went there the once and we got beaten heavily, so I was pleased to learn we beat them in their first competitive floodlit match. It was somewhat ramshackle but, anyone who's been to our ground knows I'm used to that! The Keepmoat, although newer, has a similar feel to both Glanford Park and The Bescot (before one stand was heightened at the latter), being fully-enclosed. I certainly prefer it to the likes of Shrewsbury's, Northampton's, Oxford and Wycombe's new grounds - with the gaps between the stands. Home to Charlton tomorrow, but away to Highbury (Fleetwood Town) on Monday. There used to be a peculiar 'ghost stand' behind one of the new ones there - I don't know if they've demolished it yet. Up The Gas!

I've got hundreds of rovers reviews from 1994 - 2006. i stopped going when they moved. the soul went not long after. and now the new ground looks like shat, plastered in adverts, while the alick jeffrey canvass has faded with time. screw the owners i hooe they go into non league again. they'd never get out

I have seen a few vlogs of fans at the new ground and the place looks one of them copy and paste stadiums, atmosphere comes off as a bit soulless as what I have been told about many new grounds.

@@historyoffootball87 it's complete and utter dogshit. donny is a dying place with no really passionate fans. they needed a new stadium, but not like this.

I've been twice to new ground with Sheff Utd ....It's fucking wank tbf ....No atmosphere at all ... Added to that I've always had a deep mistrust of Doncaster as a town .... Fucking cack hole ... I'd also like to mention i went to belle Vue in 84 v Bournemouth Redknap was manager 3 nil donny

@@historyoffootball87 you are spot on. there's about 30 die hards. the wind whipping round is louder. the ground is an empty soulless mechano identikit. the kids turn up leeds/sheff u/man city shirts ffs

Been there a few times it was an awful ground and the car park felt like I was walking on the moon with all them massive craters.
