Highly recommend this channel! My #1 source of Forgotten Realms Lore. Deep and concise looks into each topic with a knack for reading between the lines. Easy to listen to presentation accompanied with entertaining and meaningful art.

I'd second that recommendation. Amazing level of detail on multiple topics while still flowing naturally.

This is INCREDIBLE! You and Mythkeeper (Pathfinder lore) are the best in the game for D&D type lore by far. The two of you have compelled me to expand outside of warhammer lore and into a new (old) universe that I’m finding to be rich with wondrous tales. Thanks for the great work! 💪

These videos are so well researched. And they do not neglect older lore, which took more work to do. The art choices work very well, too.

Perfect timing: I need to do a one player sub-campaign for a party member who died while the party does a campaign to resurrect them.

1:48:37 Are there explicit differences between the concepts of avatars and aspects, or is this merely an inconsistency among sources? I had always assumed that they were synonymous.
@Lorepaedia4 ай бұрын
I believe they are synonymous.
@D--FENS3 ай бұрын
I think I've discovered the difference. Avatars can only be used by deities. An avatar is an extension of the deity itself, through which he can perceive environments and interact with individuals. As a multidimensional entity, gods can do many things in many places simultaneously. Aspects can be used by any Power, and from what I've seen, are typically used by archfiends. Aspects are projections of a Power, but are not the Power itself; a Power cannot perceive or interact via an aspect. That kind of multidimensional activity is limited to deities. Aspects are used for purposes specified at the time of their manifestation, and are thus "pre-programmed" for the task, you could say. If two aspects of the the same Power are within the same region, they inevitably fight until one or both are destroyed.

This is a flat depressive plane in these times 😂. Thank you for your continued awesome research and work you pour into these. Is it possible to get a mega compilation by topic starting with the hells? I walked into my pantry and ended up in Dis.I wanted to cook now I'm getting cooked, and roasted. I traded a can of ravioli for safe passage. I hope I find the way out soon. 😮 Good thing I'm not real in that realm. I can explore it from here with this soothing voice as my guide. I'm going to go make a deal with myself to myself to get myself back. I'm really sleepy so this likely makes no sense 😂 I have a responsibility to get my imagined self out. I can't leave myself in Dis.

Yes the 9 hells supervid will be a very cathartic vid for me. I made a 9 hells playlist then I have the... video bucket playlist. I have some thematic goals. Right now I'm in pre-production hell as the underdark spirals into a 9 Hells length megaseries -_- So eventually there will be some better organized playists, the 9 hells is the first proper one though, before that I concieved of my videos as sort of one-shots and then someone asked me to do a video on the 9 hells and then the first video was 2 hours and I realized what I had done lol. Thanks for watching the videos and giving your thoughts, I really appreciate it

You know, I used to do dnd themed parody song covers but when I put them in the main video youtube got real mad and when I released them separately nobody watched them, so I'm not sure what to do now but someday I will subject the internet to terrible acoustic covers again.

It's mostly kevin mcleod stuff. I basically raided the youtube creator music library for anything that sounded remotely epic fantasy.

The Forgotten Realms Wiki, generally I defer to that unless it's real light on lore (Krakens comes to mind as one they didn't help much).

Thanks for the feedback. I am currently letting youtube put ads where they want, but for the next video I will put ad breaks in manually to see how it goes.
