Forklift repair, this might be a bigger job than we thought!!!

The old forklift comes off line for some much needed repairs, but is it worth repairing? Also more burst drains turn up leaving a field very wet indeed.

Will you be reseeding that field you have drained? A good plough some lime and a reseed can work wonders. The lime will help kill the rushes. Little tip for you with holding you drainage pipe in place. Just walk up the drain every 10-15 yards push abit of soil down onto the pipe it will hold it in place when tipping the stones in. Who ever digs those drains of you must have GPS dead straight 😂 an experience operator I need some tips from him. 😂

Yes will plough and reseed it at some stage, more to take the old potato ridges out of it. Good tip on the rushes thanks. No GPS just good skill!!!!! Hes a top man in the digger.👍👍

Show us your drain outfall, there's nothing more satisfying than seeing water running out of a freshly laid drain.

I have to agree with Richard a drain up date to see what water it’s running. Draining is one of my favourite jobs.

We used to have an artic cat quad but was getting long in the tooth and parts seemed to be few and far between. I’ve finally got round to fixing my cab radio…. Pity the speakers are screwed lol🤦‍♂

Oh yes... good job it's all yellow and not a bit of blue otherwise it would be green and called it self a name equally as terrible with a two or sometimes four legged goat badge 🙄🦌, I like the red Collie 😊 , and the termaiogy evil wool 😁, I can agree with that, especially I've been shearing those big pets of next-door (the big heavy breed of sheep, the last shearers charged her £3 per sheep because they were too heavy on their backs !!) and everytime when one of them starts kicking the crap out of me and not wanting to stay still long enough, I say to them, "your off spring is going to taste very delicious 😋", great video as always.🙂👍

Thanks Alan and you are 100% correct, we have an Artic Cat for spares for the MF. Basically its an Artic Cat with red plastic and MF badge.👍

@FlyingFergyMan Very good. I know MF had done a deal with Bombardier for quad bikes for certain markets. Most likely Canada and the US. They didn't have wings though 🤣

Massey didn't manufacturer quads, they only badge enginereed them like generator, rideon's. A large volume of the implements in the later days were also badge engineered. Oil coolers incorporated into radiators are more common than you would think. Definately a BSB, Basildon Series Diesel, 332 or 333 on that Forklift. Whats with the Claw Hammer, joiners use them and Massey Dave used to use them, even Massy Dave saw the error of his ways. Hammering down onto a bottle jack, way to go. Most importantly bit of kit in a tractor should be the DRIVER Cathal. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Thanks Graham, I need to be careful with my phrasing😎. We had a green Artic Cat which was the same as the MF Quad, as you say its only a badge.

Slow progress but a bunch of parts has arrived from 1200 HQ so hopefully a big push on over the next few weeks. The more you dig the more you find!!!! Will do a video on it soon.
