What is the difference between this method and the other method where people get the difference of baseline of each step, for example if the fast baseline is 100 we always deal it with that and the second baseline is 240 instead of dealing 240 directly why some people are saying 240 - 100, and they deal with that 140 , please clarify for me

Hey Garvin..the offsets one to the right and the other to the left of figure E meet the baseline perpendicularly.They are therefore the 2 parallel lines of the trapezium.The distance btn the 2offsets is the height of the trapezium...thank you and keep following
