Formatting and restoring your PS3 system

I recently bought a new PS3 but with a small hard drive. Since I don't have any data to backup, should I replace the hard drive and format the new one using either quick or full format?

I did a restore also it said 9 hours so i left it open and switched the tv to watch normal channels(i hope the cable of ps3 didnt move) after a time the ps3 light has gone red so i came started it...it gave me same menus and things u did on this video and i got user 1 with no files...so the process gone successful right? I was worried that electricity cable has made an error in process

I’ve restored my PS3 system but I haven’t been able to set it up yet because the damn controller is not syncing to the system still. I’ve been trying to connect It for like the past 5 hours. PLEASE help if you can?!!!!!!

@@VideoBee_YT his controller was the issue or something it seemed I forgot to be honest but something about not holding a charge. Think he was trying to reset with a dead controller. I'm a PC guy I don't use consoles anymore lol

Well you can put your game saves on your a USB flash drive or memory card

I think if you turn it on some times it may not force you it worked for me but if it doesn't then idk i accidentally fixed mine when I got first my PS3 few days ago but yeah you can take it out and back in maybe that will fix it
