Well technically, they weren’t together until after Idol. They had known each other since Kindergarten and had always liked each other but didn’t get together until his senior year of high school after Idol.

Don't get too jealous, but Scotty and his beautiful little family lives in the next town from me. They are awesome people. He married his high school sweetheart. During his last season on Idol, we would go watch his baseball games in Garner, NC ( next town over)

When we first together adopted a action my grandfather used to do... Didn't matter if he was going to check the mail, going for a walk or going bowling - he always gave her a kiss goodbye (even if she was angry at him, and the best could do was kiss her cheek.). We always did that. Even if it was a bad day and we were both annoyed with each other. Once he had his leg amputated, and was confined to his wheelchair, is I passed him, I would run my fingers through his hair or across his shoulder, and he would catch my hand and kiss the back of it. I treasure those memories... He's been gone almost 4 years. Miss him everyday.

I have been a big Country fan since 1973. However, for the last seven years I have been living in the Caribbean, so I am not that familiar with the newer music. I had never heard this song before, and I want to thank you for introducing me to it. That's one terrific song. You might want to give a listen to Scotty's video of the Conway Twitty song "Hello, Darlin". I loved Conway, but I think Scotty does that song even better than the original.

Scotty is one of the ones I put on my list for you to listen to. You're not getting very far with that list are ya buddy? LOL You should definitely check out more of his songs. He's amazing and has come a long way since winning American Idol. he's gotten even better than before in my opinion. I don't know how you pick your songs but I hope you get this. First some background. In 2007 after surviving a massive stroke for 5 years my husband had 5 more in 5 days. He never wanted any life support. So the decision was made to remove all support. Once that was done he looked at me and mouthed "Thank you". I ran out to the car and turned on the radio and the first thing I heard was part of the lyrics of Joe Nickels "I'll wait for you", specifically the part where he is reading the note given to him by the doctor. Since that day I can't listen to the song as it is too close home. I hope you enjoy this song, but know I probably won't watch your video on it. ❤
