Never in a million years would I ever see B5 ever again. After everything that has happened with these guys and Bad Boys Records. They have grown up so much since 2005. Dustin, Kelly, and Patrick have always been my favorite members of the group. Yet, I never knew or would've guessed that Dustin would be into guys like that (not judging at all), I love him no matter what. Which they would make more music.

Yes. They, individually, would’ve made very little from that song. The original owner gets the bulk of publishing and the group would have to split the rest with whatever producer was involved as well. The label would own the master recording of the song.

Besides that podcast not actually being in Miami. I’m from Miami. Overtown. How Did Diddy get hold of they publishing? That’s something American law has given to them. Completely separate from copyright ownership over a *record* master. With them signed to Bad Boy it makes sense that Diddy owned their masters. However the only way they have ZERO (because it’s broken down into percentages & they are a group so they’ll get even smaller pieces) % of their publishing can only LEGALLY happen if they signed it away to another entity. The only way that the label and thus Diddy got hold of their publishing is if they legally gave it to him. If that’s the case, how do they know Diddy still owns it? For all they know he could’ve given it away to someone/entity that made an offer for it. A long time ago. Still, they brought it on themselves by giving away their publishing to begin with. This isn’t up for debate. It’s American law that all writers of both melody & lyrics legally have claim over publishing. If Diddy illegally took it from them somehow, then they can sue him. By the way I’d you haven’t taken a college course in music Business and want to learn how to decipher the bullshit a lot of artists talk; I recommend reading All You Need to Know About the Music Business. The latest edition just dropped its a significant update.
