From the uk and I got into a rabbit hole of watching dam removal videos in the US a few years ago(which I found fascinating). In my humble opinion a common theme is it takes a long time to get to completion but the level of Federal, State Govt Agency but also local interest and indigenous peoples involvement is really impressive. It's wondeful and amazing to see how the river has rapidly re-taken a natural appearence! And thinking its discharge is now 100% natural and not any more influenced by humans is just magic. Many dams should be removed and many rivers made free again all over the world, starting by my continent, Europe, and my country, France!
