Great coverages. Good to have a great man in Greg Feith and all his knowledge.

I've loved following Greg since meeting him at one of his first cases, Value Jet.

No matter how you look at it, the helicopter is at fault. So much so that I’d hardly call it an “accident” a plane on final approach in the landing configuration essentially owns the runway

Agree- Catastrophic incident, but accident does not accurately describe this incident.

I'm a local, in the video you're looking at Hains Point, which is the darker strip of land that comes into a point, beyond that is the SW DC waterfront and to the right is Bolling AFB.

I've seen a report that there were figure skaters on board from United States, and Russian skaters from a skating development camp in Wichita.

I heard and saw a report of this also. It may be that we saw the same report @edwardschwenk3100 . My heart goes out to everyone involved from the passengers, pilots, families, friends and the rescue/recovery teams...everyone... and my prayers and love are being sent to everyone as well, even to those of you in the chat that is just feeling this horrible and awful tragedy ♥♥

Stop cutting off the people talking. Jesus. These reporters are brutal

These reporters have no clue what they are talking about nor do the understand who it is that they are talking to.

Chopper REQUESTED to be allowed to provide his own visual separation. He should have been frantically requesting separation vectors the instant he lost confidence in continuous observation of the jet. ATC rarely offers visual separation unless it would make legal an upcoming reduction of separation that would be a black mark on the ATC record.

It won't take an 18 month investigation to find out what happened here ...

it is ridiculous that they would fly training flights in that airspace, let alone without adsb beacon turned on
@GH-oi2jf7 күн бұрын
I would like to know more about the nature of the training, but yes, most training should be done well away from a busy airport.

Visual separation approved helicopter ran into the plane mistake between 2 planes
@jayray98247 күн бұрын
The video suggests the helicopter was going pretty fast given how busy this airspace is.

Could this happen to Trump's plane... Hmmmmmm...an attempt to look like pilots were incompetent... Goofy and Mickey 🐭 Pilots?!?!!!!???
@mikemerlo41567 күн бұрын
Chopper was flying straight, level, at assigned altitude, and in the assigned corridor. The jet appears to be set on his final, but below the glide slope. My guess is the pilots got fixated on the difficult left turn, and the controller failed to divert a collision.
@FloridaMan027 күн бұрын
Chopper absolutely was NOT flying an assigned heading or altitude. He asked for and received permission to Maintain Visual Separation, which he failed to do. Legally he is responsible after that until declared and agreed otherwise.
@m.h.64994 күн бұрын
Helicopter was also too high. Not supposed to be above 200 ft in that corridor and was flying at 350 (acc to aviation reports).

They are holding back on telling the public, but the pilot in command of the Blackhawk was a female with only 500 hours of flight time. She was training and screwed up, this DEI crap has to end. She not only killed herself but 66 innocent people.
