I had a cop try to frame me for a vandalism crime when I was just 13 years old. The case quickly fell apart in court, with the judge literally screaming at both the prosecutor and the cop. He threw out the charges stating they were absurd, told the cop to resign, stated he can't be trusted anywhere near children. The cop agreed he would resign, left the court with a newspaper over his head. We later found out he harassed and threatened a whole bunch of other teens, wrongly charging them as well for crimes they never committed. While I was happy he lost his job, it was really unnerving to see he was never held criminally liable for his actions. The public was so outraged over his antics they repeatedly vandalized his home and cars, he ended up leaving the area entirely soon after. But the cases we see in this video are far worse, look at the guy who was locked up for over a decade! Imagine losing a decade of your life for something you didnt do. And the cop in this situation also got a slap on the wrist, a lousy year in jail, despite intentionally destroying peoples lives. There needs to be stiffer penalties for officers who violate their oath to serve and protect the public. I was lucky the judge in my case was able to see through the ruse and protected me, but others aren't always so lucky.
