All 5 officers should be charged equally whether they did or didn't participated in the beating leading to Tyrell's death! Especially because they are law enforcement officers! Laws already on the books make it clear that if someone dies during the comission of a crime, all participants are charged with murder. Even if it was just one person that directly caused a victim's death, down to the get away driver or the lookout guy are charged with murder. I didn't see one of those 5 officers trying to STOP that horrible uncalled for brutal beating of Tyrrell. Even if one cop just stood there makes him gulity. In my eyes, the cop just standing by watching makes him equally guilty as those participating! A year back I saw a police video of a Sargent beating a cuffed man in the back of the patrol car and one of his subordinates, a female officer, grabbed her Sgt. from behind by his duty belt and pulled him of the cuffed man! Her Sgt. spun around aggressively grabbed her by her throat and walked her backwards with contempt and venomin his eyes. (I think it happened in Central FL.) That's what officers are supposed to do if they see a fellow officer "assulting a suspect"! I've tried to follow the case, but found there was no case to follow. Poof 💨 gone! I continue to worry for that brave officer. Those are the kind of men and women we want policing our community. Without cops like her, we're all seeing what we're getting instead. Armed roaming violent gangs, with badges, and that bullshit provision called QUALIFIED IMMUNITY . Why is it the majority of citizens mange to muttle through life, equally ignorant of the countless laws on the books, w/o QUALIFIED IMMUNITY? When a citizens does break a law and explains, he didn't know it was against the law, they're told, "Ignorance of the law is no excuse and doesn't exclude you from the penalties." But, cops can break laws everyday, in front of fellow cops, and when a citizen victim tries pressing charges or filing suit, they're told, "Sorry cops get QUALIFIED IMMUNITY". These cops know their actions were smashing your civil rights!" Cops should have a much deeper knowledge of americans' civil rights and know when they're violating them and that's against the law! The man in the background got that attorney rattled. The chief should be fired, too. Those police officers knew she had been turning a blind eye to the abuse those officers were doing on the daily. This time, they went too far, and all of their colleagues threw them straight under the bus. According to the video surveillance, they were very comfortable bragging on how they beat Mr. Nichols severely. They laughed, took pictures, and offered him no aid. The thin blue line is not going to stick their necks out for them with a paid vacation as their counterparts. Look at the chiefs record. She's been fired for this same type of harassment from former police officers in different places she has worked. When this trial starts, we will hear from those former Memphis police officers the vivid instructions and training they were given to have free reign over Memphis's poor citizens (high crime areas). They are going to sing like the Temptations, and it's going to blow this case wide open.

I never understood when a complaint comes in and they investigate it and they see the Officers didn’t follow the proper procedures why don’t they automatically suspended them without pay for the amount days they feel is appropriate, How do you not do anything? That leads to a bigger incident that occurred, This is why police chiefs eventually get fired and the new police chief comes in and do the same thing 🤦🏽‍♂️
