I love this video! Some of these jerseys really bring back a lot of memories. The North Stars logo is my favorite and the team of my youth. That is one of the reasons why I feel that when a team moves, they should have to leave the colors and logo behind. That way, if their original city ever gets another team, they can use the same logo and colors if they want.

As a lifelong Atlanta resident, I can tell you that the light blue Thrashers jersey was the fan favorite, as it went from being the home alternate to the home default jersey after one year, when the NHL made the dark jersey the home jersey. Also, I don’t recall the Flames having a different style “A” on their jerseys. I’m wondering if you may be referring to the “A” used by the Atlanta Apollos, the soccer team that was owned by same owner. The old Atlanta Chiefs were renamed Apollos in 1973, and adopted the colors of the Hawks and Flames, and a logo that was similar to the Flames logo.

No breaks given to Atlanta unlike other cities, particularly his precious Coyotes which the league held onto for YEARS looking for an owner, but gave Atlanta less than two months to find a buyer.

As much as I realize that hockey never really worked or will work in Atlanta except for some peewee teams and a minor league team in the suburbs, I do miss the Thrashers a bit. Mostly because I grew up with them being "my team"

What do you mean can't work. You are ignorant about why they left. It had nothing to do with fan support, which was okay. The Flames left because a recession in the late 70s rocked the real estate industry. The Flames happened to be owned by Tom Cousins. A real estate developer, who was losing money in his real estate business because of the recession. Thus, he sold the Flames for the cash to keep his real estate business afloat. The Thrashers left because of an incompetent ownership group called Atlanta Spirit who fought amongst each other, suing one another, trading the best players to save money due to poor decisions with the Hawks, which they also owned. It was not about attendance. The Thrashers were never last in attendance and actually had higher attendance than Pittsburgh and Chicago at times. Atlanta metro is 6 million plus. If it can be successful in Nashville with a metro population at about 2 million, it can here, too.

I had a friend in high school who was the daughter in law of the only coach of the Cleveland Barons. She said that they moved from California to Cleveland very late in the summer of 1976 and had very little time to work on a logo or a uniform scheme. I'm not sure, but I think they considered using the AHL Barons logo for a short time (the face of a wealthy tycoon that kind of looked like Mr. Peanut) just to get some recognition.

Hartford had a farm team in Binghamton NY. All they had to do was rotate the Hartford logo 90° counter clockwise and the "W" looked like a "B" so with the whale tail it made perfect sense for the Binghamton Whalers.

Nordiques is #1 for me. That is just a beautiful jersey, and I'm a Habs fan. The Montreal Maroon isn't that bad, but it needs three things to make it better for me: Less stripes on the sleeves, modernize the letter 'M', and make the logo bigger. I wish the Laval Rocket were named the Montreal Maroons, and had a modern and more sleeker version of that jersey. Would have been great to tie the history from the past.

The original Nordique light blue was more effective IMHO. Another uni that is under-appreciated was the Cleveland Crusaders of the WHA. It was a royal purple (pictures don't reflect how bold ot was) with black trim...the combination actually worked well...with a great logo that is still used today-I won't say where in case Nick Mileti's layer is trolling the site!😁

Missing some of the shoulder emblems though, like the Nordiques jersey had the fleur-de-lis on the shoulder and the Rockies jersey has a C on the shoulder. The Whalers had a whale on the shoulder, the fans hated the owners when they got rid of it, as it was on the jersey from their WHA days.
