As evidenced by Sam’s lack of SPE knowledge from the 2024 season, SPEs in LATAM are now the same as in Europe in terms of difficulty and top level play. Every SPE this season will be 300+ players and nothing like the ones back in 2018-2019. Also it’s only the Americans trying to police the world of region locking and fairness for ‘locals’ whilst locals welcome the international competition and have NEVER, and I can’t emphasize that enough, NEVER had any issue whatsoever. It’s literally like American politics where Americans think they know best for the rest of the world but they really don’t 😵‍💫

I agree Special Events should be region locked. I get they aren’t for marketing reasons but it would massively help the players of smaller and less financially well off countries to have a better chance of getting to worlds. I’ll say it’s hilarious that you guys discussed league promo Buddy Buddy Poffin because that’s literally one of the League Promo cards from June. It was BBP and Super Rod that were specifically given to stores to be event prizes (many gave them away for participating in events, but they at minimum had to be given away as prizes for events).

I will believe spirit of the game when high level players start getting DQ's for slow play. Cant wait for all the US players to go down to the other less fortunate countries and steal invites through their SPE's now. Feel bad for those players in the regions like that who will get screwed out of an event because NA players cant stay in their regions to actually take down events. I agree with Sam that they should region lock the shit out of SPE's because it's already been proven that the hardcore sweats will do it as Sam proved. Also sucks that all the youngin's are getting screwed by the new system because TPCI refuses to release a full season schedule so their parents can plan around their kid's hobby
