Former RAF Darley Moor visited on 28 Oct 2020. The site runs alongside the A515 near Ashbourne in Derbyshire (DE6 2ET). It was built around 1942 and opened a year later when it was used by the RAF for training purposes followed by ordnance servicing and storage until 1954. Most of the concrete runways were converted to a race track as can be seen but there remains some grass airstrips which are still used for paragliding and microlights.
