Take note of where Ritter starts describing the new paradigm of chasing short-term outcomes at the expense of any over-arching strategy. The process orientation of which he speaks is simply a corporate ideology of following a procedure to obtain certain measures of “success” regardless of actual outcomes, collateral damage, or even common sense.
