man this is heartbreaking i work in grocery retail as a clerk and stocking.. people treat clerks so badly is gross.. i hope this good guy gets his break in life he deserves alot better..

Well I would tell this young man to get a lawyer and request copies of the video, the only way he can back his case is by the video, if not it’s a he said Vons said scenario. Also if his former employer did not provide a safe working environment that’s a major issue and one he could fight in court, Wish him the best of luck.

From what I read earlier today, the union found his termination unwarranted. I hope he doesn't go back, but gets a big, fat check instead. No one should be fired for pushing someone, who is in their face and threatening their lives, away from them.

As a Safeway courtesy clerk, this is terrible, I felt bad for this guy. I’m so glad my manager is the complete opposite and appreciates me a lot. Especially I’m on of the best workers like him.

I work as a courtesy clerk at fry’s here in Arizona. Owned by Kroger. I can tell you it’s completely hell. Every day someone is wanting to start shit or just bully us. Plus the fact that the managers play favorites on who gets promoted. He needs to move on and not look back.

The staff at this location are friendly. I am surprised by the Store Mgr action to fire him. However, with the current homeless problems we have in Bakersfield, again surprised that corporate policies don't have a buddy (or two employees) policy for throwing the trash or going out to the parking lot. Save a lot of headaches, lawsuits, misunderstandings, and, above all, personal safety for the employees.

Plus, they have false advertisement on freshly baked goods in the bakery department, they say everything is made fresh It’s all a lie everything comes premade everything is frozen especially the cakes, the cookies, French bread. The donuts Especially in meat department they said fresh shrimp lies they are frozen, and they just put them in hot water to defrost them and they put it in the meat counter saying it’s fresh
