Poor in-game adjustments and game-to-game adjustments in the playoffs were Dean's downfall. If he improves in those areas when he gets his next HC job he will do great. Wish him the best.

That's fair, and I'd he was hamstrung by the salary cap woes. This team is not good.

This is on the players and BG more than Dean. Was the team as good as last year's record? Nope. As bad as this year's start? Nope. Hynes stepped in and didn't change anything significant but they've now won 3 in a row. BG is the one that constructed this roster.

Dean is a good NHL coach but there is so much over-coaching in the NHL with having special teams. A big issue with the Wild is having older players and not able to bring in younger talent because of salary cap issues. Good luck Dean with getting another NHL coaching job.

The wrong guy was let go. Bill G was a good hockey player but that does not make him an NHL executive. This is not a good hockey club and there is no reason to believe they are going to get better under this leadership.

Billy better keep an eye on the door as well, Leopold I'm guessing is doing some hallway walking in the office.
@ItsJustDoug8 ай бұрын
Billy is safe for a couple years. Leopold knew he was strapping the franchise with the Parise/Suter deal, and the fact is signing them probably kept the franchise in Minnesota. Parise is out of the game, so he’d either be wasting a roster spot or collecting a check at this point anyway. Suter is a cancer, always has been, and they can’t stand him in Dallas. When the Stars signed him they didn’t ask around, and are paying for it now. Bottom line is if they were both still here, the team would be in the same place financially, and probably worse off in the locker room.

Stupid firing. Evason was great. This season wasn’t even that terrible. We got some bad calls on ice not go our way, goals taken back, and losses in OT or SO…so close, with key players out on injury, and other players that had have just been added figuring the system out (eg Maroon). A lot of stacked cards. Guerin is an egotistical dolt firing Dean with all that taken into account.
