My only curiosity is how is the flamethrower doing so much damage. I just rebeat this game recently and it doesnt do that much damage that fast?

It is a glitch that is only possible on the PAL PS3 version of the game. The original PAL PS2 version ran at 50 hz so when upscaling the game, it messed with the way the pyrocitor works and it can do damage on every frame.
