Whenever you use the panflute on dragonfly, it resets the center of her roaming area to wherever she wakes up. and because Dragonfly thinks theres no near by magma ponds, she just spawns the larvae under her

Not to dismiss the achievement, rather curious: is it conventionally agreed to round a second down for DST speedruns? Like i'd rather call 6:02.966 "6:03" rather than "6:02", but I've noticed speedrunners cut a second all the time for DST specifically

Is it a hot take to say that dst speedrunning should just have a no Wolfgang category? It gets pretty stale after a while to see the same "hold f until boss dies" gameplay. Wolfgang is just really lame to watch, but at the same time i was never interested in dst speedrunning, or speedrunning in general.

@dumbvillage9253 half a year or so ago, the speedrunning community did a Dragonfly speedrun tournament that banned Wolfgang and during that time period it was discovered that using Wicker's tentacles is actually better than Wolfgang and because of that, the seeded Dragonfly WR uses Wicker (and a similar strat like that could probably be used on Bee Queen seeded). There's also a few other WR speedruns that use other characters like Woodie and Maxwell. If there WAS a "no Wolfgang" category you'd hold F for longer in case of runs which you only hold F during the fight
