Dr. Reeves can you please tell me if Luther added the word “ alone “ in the Bible, and not his personal Bible , but in Bibles that were printed for distribution

He did yes. I just published a book on the history of the Bible last week and talk about that. Only in one place of Romans he includes the word alone (allein) but it's for his printed version.

Very interesting, God chooses us and we do not contribute anything toward our salvation. Christ said, ' I choose you not that you choose me.'

The Bible is very clear on Confession and how the power to forgive and retain sins was only given to the twelve apostles not to everyone!

the Bible isn't clear on any subject. That is why so many people interpret it differently. Christianity formed like a political party that wanted the Roman Empire to transform into the Holy Roman Empire with its new hierarchy of bishops and priest setting social policy. Eventually it was so corrupt that the population that opposed it was too large to persecute. All religions are basically political parties with supernatural mascots.

Patrick Neary actually the Bible is very clear on many subjects, it is true that there are some subjects that are difficult to understand. The most common forms of interpretation in order of priority and use are 1) Literal, 2)Figuratively/Metaphorically, and 3) Allegorically. When Jesus gives a command it is always interpreted literally! The following Gospel versus speak for themselves. John 20:23 "If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you withhold forgiveness from anyone, it is withheld." Also, the parallel Gospel in Matthew 18:18 "Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on the earth will be loosed in heaven." These are very real and literal commands given to the Apostles and their successors. Lets just stick with these clear examples from the Gospel for now, because your analogy on Christianity, Political Structure, Roman Empire, and Holy Roman Empire doesn't begin to take shape for hundreds of years after the Gospels and the Great Commission. Btw, anything that consists of the fallen human state has a degree of corruption regardless of whether it be a Church, or any institution for that matter. If you really want to learn about Christianity and its origins, instead of making things up off the top of your head, then I recommend you start reading: History Of The Christian Church (The Complete Eight Volumes In One) by Philip Schaff. Keep in mind that Christianity was able to spread and propagate in the way that it did, was because of the Great Commission. Jesus gave the Apostles, the commission to preach the Gospels and make disciples of everyone! After you finish reading this then read a shorter book titled "The Early Christian Fathers" by Cyril Richardson. Lol, "all religions are political parties with supernatural mascots" except one, lol! If you only knew friend, lol, ignorance is bliss, I wish I were you, just kidding, I'm glad I'm not, lol!

It goes to show the hypocrisy of Martin Luther in saying to kill the rebels and peasants, knowing very well that he is a peasant and a rebel himself!
@jonathandoe1367

Not really. He doesn't claim to kill any peasants, just those rebelling (which he was not), and he wasn't actually rebelling himself, nor did he claim to support such rebellion. It's more like he expected everyone to be as nonviolent as himself.

This is what happens when peasants begin to interpret Scripture to their own understanding, you get 30,000+ denominations and counting!
