I've done this challenge once, it was very fun to play as However, I did some things differently I played a little more on the diplomatic side, and I managed to get Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria in my faction, which helped me a lot securing the borders. Afterwards, I proceeded to conquer Yugoslavia, Turkey and Greece, all in the same war to avoid guarantees, not calling anyone to war to avoid a longer border. Since I only needed some coastal states, I created puppets in the remaining Yugoslavian and Turkish territories. From that, I did the Iberian alignment focus, got Portugal as puppet and war goal on Spain, used the war to conquer the needed territories in spain, puppeting the rest. When ww2 started, I launched a naval invasion on UK from my Spanish puppet, ending the war without much fighting. Afterwards, I just waited for the tripartite pact to be signed to conquer Vichy France and called it a day.
