Would you use the Revit-Formit integration? Did I miss something in this test?

The new feature for adding new mass from FormIt and convert it to Revit would be more useful if the added mass could be editable in Revit!

This is a much better tool for massing than the native massing tool. Will get it installed and have a play. Thanks for the video

9:08 says it all...What sort of sense does it make that you are exporting a section box portion of a model into Formit just to reimport it back into Revit and remake the object as a model in place? You can essentially do all the things you can do in Formit with a model in place right? "That just sounds like slavery with extra steps" - Rick Sanchez

In fact you could model walls by snaping directly the faces or lines. But at first, you have to import the Formit file in a family (casework or another) and import it in the project. After that it's working really fine !!

I was excited by this but unfortunately I see no benefit to this over using in-place masses. Why complicate things?

I was looking for to use the Formit model as a mass and then create walls, but it doesn't work for me

You can do one of two things: 1. Import (Insert> ImportCAD> browse to .axm) the FormIt model into an in-place or loadable mass category family (or generic model category family) then apply By Face Walls, Roofs, CurtainSystems to it. 2. Before clicking on Send To Revit, make sure the Revit model is in in-place mass editing mode and then the FormIt geometry will transfer into an in-place mass. from there you can use the By Face Walls, Roofs, CurtainSystems tools.

@@heatherl1632 hmmm the first option is what I used to do in the past... the second option is what I was looking for BUT, in my opinion it has to be automatic because it's in the Conceptual Mass panel, right?
