This story about life in UAE is very accurate; get on a plane to go there kama umepata kazi umejitafutia, do the opposite na utafraaia. Don't go looking for work with a visit visa, those days are gone, UAE laws changed in October 2022. There are people going through exactly what this guy went through right now, the stress alone is enough to depress you. Housing for most immigrants in the unskilled labour force is mostly bed space and partition; earning enough to be able to live alone in a studio is very very difficult for alot of the immigrants there because a studio apartment begins from 2000Dhs

Thank you Mkurugenzi for highlighting this, I normally advice people seeking to travel abroad to listen to those already there, rent for a studio apartment in Dubai is 80k per month, you can spend 300k on visit visa and still not get a job it's hard. Always consult but watu hawaskii

there is no visit visa that costs 300k, that is the cost for a freelance visa. It is currently 15k for 1 month visa and 45k for 2 months which used to be the price for 3 months visa but a lot is changing with African visas. The price for studio apartment is correct, unapata studio na from 2000Dhs. I saw the life in UAE nikapanda ndege nikarudi Kenya

Fine on nol card is AED400, like Ksh15200, by 3 is Ksh45600. Your fine is only recorded when you meet with the checking officer and they upload your fine details in the system. When you travel with the empty nol or fail to tap, you will be lucky if you don't meet them, or they forgive you when you're caught.
