Taeyong is vocally all over the album, yes, he sounds amazing and they put little visuals of him in the Track videos too. He recorded a lot before he left. They have this version for the MV and Taeil's parts also get covered for the live version since his injury means he can't perform yet.

ur soooooo right abt yuta in this video his visuals are jawdropping, i think obviously a lot of his styling leans into the rockstar vibes but the slick back hair and glasses really emphasize that its not just that this one style suits him its HIM and the genuine coolness and charisma he brings. 127 as a group really has this brilliant stage presence and like just sheer style and swagger that they lean into and this mv is a great example of it

Haechan has used on other songs this raspy lower register but sadly really sporadically. I wish he used it way more because even if his high notes are stellar, his lower register is awesome. You can hear it in NCT Dream - Quiet Down, NCT 127 Faster/Bring The Noize/Gimme Gimme (but for this last one you have to check out the recording video because it's part of a vocal doubling).

The aughts super baggy cargo pants are killingggg me 😂 but the song is a summer hip hop pop banger for sure. It’s great to hear and see more Yuta and Johnny in Taeyong’s absence, as much as I can’t wait for him to come back. I very much enjoyed your reaction, your analysis was spot on. I’ve also come to the conclusion that this is their best mv; if I watch it once, I watch it half a dozen times. Haechan’s vocal brings to mind his audition story: He says that he initially sang in a lower register until the scouts at the audition asked him to sing in a higher one. I really like his lower tone. The adlibs throughout are fantastic. I especially love Jaehyun’s. Jungwoo is known to be a very good rapper as well, so it’s nice to see him do it here. Taeil and Doyoung are amazing, as usual. Taeyong had joined the Navy by the time the mv was shot, but you can really feel his presence at times, and there are the photos of him: When Jaehyun sits down in front of the locker there’s a baby photo, and that hanging photo is one from his childhood.

It’s supposed to be a swaggy song but it was quite muted, like there’s a thick blanket over the rap parts. Ends up being more a laid back stroll than a staggering swagger - which is a fine line. They should try having Yuta open the song, to set a more forceful tone. He’s usually able to deliver more attitude. The vocal parts were exceptional, especially Haechan and also Taeil’s crazy high notes.

Thanks for your reaction! I'm really missing Taeyong, and it's a shame that SM decided to remove his voice from the MV. He always adds so much flavor. Super proud of him in the navy, though. During boot camp, he became a platoon leader and gave the graduation speech to his class. He's been thriving since then too and has even been able to perform dance challenges to songs like Aespa's Armageddon and perform two of his own solo songs (Run Away and Virtual Insanity) with a live navy band.
