Material sustainability 👌🔥..moving from cradle to grave to cradle to cradle....as an industrial designer 🇧🇼I would say the the emphasis on sustainability on polarstar is amazing..... The fascinating part in the Interior of the car, is its user interface, the automatic focus of the dashboard display with user interaction 🔥🔥👌👌

very cool video, I found it surprising that they use a way for the upholstery that removes waste material and uses new materials that are not the status quo of premium. The outer shape looks like it will look modern for many more years since it has no tacky or quick fasion-like features. I'm really interested in how polestar will continue to grow as a brand. I hope it will provide tesla with some healthy competition, causing both brands to innovate faster. I wonder what influence Geely has on their vision and design briefings, since this seems like such a different brand, although Geely is their main stakeholder.

The darkside of car design is the tough inner competition within the shape design teams. Which in fact shouldn't be called design teams but design arenas (90% of the job is about individual tasks). Indefinite feedbacks, extremely short deadlines and high standard demands over the illustrations quality. Most of car design studios aren't inspiring to creative professionals, but they build you an inside sense of you're never good enough to the job.

It is not possible to sustainable in car making. You can refill or reuse product but not sustainable, sustainability is a myth

@@FormTrends what are components of every product, just think about it, the battery, body, need energy to build. It's paradox in the sustainability which could not work in reality, it's shining trend which every company love. The correct term is reusable such material which they use for interior and chairs. The CEO of big fashion company one time the sustainability is not possible. One good example great war jeep which is produce least pollution in product cycle car ever, the simplicity of making, reusing is not competable to other car

@@alimotaghiani9944 I see what you mean, however There are already ways to repurpose batteries and the materials of car bodies. Recycling is still an energy consuming process so it is not 100% carbon free. I hope that once plastics will be more homogonised it will be easier to recycle them and create monocoque car bodies that can be melted into new shapes, and that cars will last longer once the ownership is a subscription based service. This would remove the need to make cars have an artificially short lifespan and elliminate thetemptation to get a new car every few years for normal consumers. They could simply change the firmware and reshape the exterior to keep things up to date. The possibilities of the future are impossible to see. Look back old scifi movies and we have surpassed them in many ways in our daily life. It would be nice however if this would not happen at the expense of the majority of the world population and the environment. Who knows what crazy stuff the comming generations of designers can come up with to realise a better future!
