he was special in 2007, but Silverstone and Shanghai might be the two best races of that season

@@otaviofrnazario Silverstone not so much. He should've taken pole position, but messed up his qualifying. China was easily his best performance that year and one of his best ever as well (Taking the championship into consideration). Regarding his 2007 season, he wasn't that special tbh. Very good season, but 2003-06 were better. His 2003 season was a lot more special overall.

@@f1analysis900 I think Kimi was incredibly special in 2007. New tyres, new car, new team, that half the grid didn't have to adapt to, and he still won with 2 DNFs. Silverstone wasn't a given - he had to win that given Alonso was short fueled.

@@ciaronsmith4995 He made a mistake in qualifying, he should've had a pole position. Given the speed of his Ferrari, should've easily won the race from pole position. In 2007, he was very good but his first half was bad. From France onwards, he was very good but even then, he didn't blow Massa away the way people expected him to be.

@@f1analysis900 You assume the car was fastest because Kimi is an absolute specialist around Silverstone (especially old layout). The cars were roughly equal that weekend. Kimi made a mistake in quali (too much understeer in that Ferrari) but Alonso would have been ahead after the first stops anyways, because he took on way less fuel. It was Kimi's ballistic middle stint that won that race. I would recommend watching the race again. Pole or not, he wouldn't have been leading mid race.

Just for that reason I supported Kimi to win the championship over Lewis (as a Fernando fan, back then I didn't understand the points system and I believed my father who said the only way for Fernando to stay in contention for the championship and since he didn't win China I thought he was out)

Even though Hamilton didn't win the wdc in 2007, that was a hell of a season for him tho... Considering that it was his first Formula 1 season and he had to battle with skillful and experienced champions, he even almost won

Yes it was one hell of a season for Hamilton he lead the Championship for most of the season in his Rookie season and he was up against World Class drivers who had been around in F1 much longer than he had. Drivers like Kimi Raikkonen and Alonso & Massa who had won races and Championships and much more experience and experience under pressure and winning races.

If he just went into the pit lane at China more Cautious slower he propably would of been ok and would of been Championship. He would still of got a Podium or a 4th place

The McLaren team really messed up not bringing Hamilton in earlier for new tyres. His tyres were finished and Lewis was saying on the radio these tyres are finished I will have to come in the team told him to stay out you are doing fine.

Kubica could have won this one. It's weird that nobody talks about it, this fact was completely swallowed, forgotten by the drama of this race and the entire season

Not a chance. Raikkonen was flying this race. He had the race completely under control. No chance Robert would hold off a desperate, flying Raikkonen who had to win to keep the title alive.
