Formula 1 drivers season #18 🏁 1967
In 1967, season #18 of the Formula 1 World Championship was won by New Zealand driver Denny Hulme driving the official Brabham with 2 Grand Prix wins. In second place was his teammate and TEAM owner australian Jack Brabham, also with 2 Grand Prix wins. In third place in the Championship was Jim Clark with Lotus and 4 Grand Prix wins. Also winning a Grand Prix in this season were mexican Pedro Rodriguez, american Dan Gurney and John Surtees with Honda.
In this season after his success in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans, Chris Amon was offered a seat at the Ferrari F1 team, while Pedro Rodríguez was signed by Cooper, after 1964 champion John Surtees moved to Honda and 1962 champion Graham Hill moved from BRM to Lotus.
Unfortunately the 1967 season saw the deaths of talented Italian driver Lorenzo Bandini following a serious accident on 7 May during the Monte Carlo Grand Prix and of Bob Anderson at Silverstone during testing.
