In this video we have made a time-lapse review of every single Formula 1 win by constructors as a ratio of their total race participation from GP 1 - BRITAIN 1950 until GP 1079 - ABU DHABI 2022 (the most recent GP at the time of creation).

Mercedes was the most successful in my opinion. But we must recognize that Ferrari too, with more than 1000 races a performance of 22% must be considered high.

That's because mercedes participates less than 15 years, we will see their percentage drop even more.

Before Schumacher, Ferrari was behind Williams and McLaren. After Schummy, Ferrari passed both and never looked back.

If you just consider constructors that participated in at least 100 races: 1. Mercedes (by far, won almost half of all races they participated in!) 2. Red Bull (won about 25%) 3. Ferrari (20%) 4. McLaren 5. Williams (15%) 6. Lotus - 7. Cooper 8. Benneton 9. Renault 10. Brabham 11. BRM 12. Tyrrell 13. Alfa Romeo (5%)

are you still counting all races or just 100? Because you are 4% off with Merc, 1% with Red Bull and 2% with Ferrari according tho the above. And if only 100... which 100, first, last?

You cant compare as some teams have been around alot longer than others. Its like saying if you only entered one race and won you'd be the greatest of all time at 100%

So the top 2 are pretty much the same constructer as it was Mercedes who bought Brawn 🤣 Either way you go at it there will always be something wrong, now i will complain some teams are in there who did less then 20 races, like Mercedes before 2010 and Brawn after 2009. Thats unfair against Ferrari who had been racing since the start. But when you go with Wins, Ferrari will be #1 and its unfair against teams who hadn't been there from the start. Damned if you do, damned if you dont i guess.

That is the nature of percentages. Same as the driver with the highest win percentage over one season. You would think a Verstappen, Vettel or Hamilton but it is actually Alberto Ascari with 75% for 9 out of 12 races

Yeah, those Indianapolis stats from the 50ies and 60ies are nice and official and really don't belong here.

Just can not have a team with 9/12 races at the top. This figure needs to be factored for the total number of all time F1 races. Other wise a team say having entered and won one race is at the top. Quite ridiculous. example n 91 Lotus had entered 414 races, compared to Mercs 12......

I'd make it a minimum of 100 races contested to count. That would remove around nine teams from the list. Brawn on top from 17 races? No.
