i think fd has to rethink how they do the top 4. maybe if one of the final round cars breaks and cant make it to the line at all then the winner of the 3rd place battle gets called up for a chance at the win and the broke car gets 3rd. Then the fans will get to see a final battle and the teams will have to make sure there cars are reliable enough to make it through all the rounds. Either way i still enjoy watching..

Formula DRIFT: Thanks for the reply, I see and was able to read the reply in my notifications but not on the page or as a reply to my comment so I am guessing KZbin is being KZbin again. I totally get that they should not care about what the commentators say, I've just seen it happen in other places in motorsports, late 80s early 90s rallycross for example. I would hate to see it happen here. I was also thinking about a different thing, drivers' fake-losing control out because of a "love tap" a two-camera setup mounted inside the car recording the driver and steering wheel would not only make great content but could also help judge in cases like that. One camera records straight forward where you see the hood of the car and the road, this will also show any hard knocks to the vehicle, but, it has to be at a certain width that works well with TVs but also gives you the increased feeling of speed. The other camera could be a cage-mounted cam showing the cockpit and driver + steering wheel. Anyway, keep up the great work and the really awesome content. Love every bit of what you serve.

FD. If you want qualifying to matter again, make it so the higher qualifier gets to pick whether to chase or lead first. Otherwise people will sand bag just like the RTR mustangs because of tire wear.

Qualifying does matter. It may not matter to some particular driver for specific reasons, but this system matters to the championship and so therefore it matters to the excitement and quality of the championship chase. Come Irwindale, there will be more contenders than in the past and that’s the whole point of this system. Of course it matters.

@@formuladrift There's no points awarded for it though. All it does is setup the brackets at this point and yes I know it makes the championship closer, which is rad, but I do feel giving the option for chase/lead to the higher qualifier each match up will make all drivers lay down good qualifying runs. I just want to see drivers do their best every run and not turn this into some lame strategy haha

@@calebthezombie8457 I think we are open to that but honestly, I think it’s cool Chelsea is trying to game the system. It’s a story and it’s more consequential. The only thing you can say is that Qualifying doesn’t award points. Saying to doesn’t matter doesn’t make sense. It has tons of mattering and consequences.

Curious why the lead driver has to go through that little S curve of cones at the beginning of the run? It's been a few years since I've watched Formula Drift, but I don't remember them doing that in the past.

It's meant to slow the lead car down so the cars enter the first corner together and closer.

okay. I like Matt Field, but I think VGJ was by far better in his lead with Field chasing, Matt seemed overaggressive. I can think of a few people who would be in hot wata after a chase like that.

But in that OMT I wouldn’t say Essa was clearly the winner there, all around some inconsistent judging as usual. Wish they’re show the scoring numbers instead of just picking and providing us with no information.
