I can’t wait to watch James Dean back in FD this season with the RTR boys!!!!

I've only heard of Deane and Piotr a few times when they would pop up on drift media from across the sea. Now I understand the hype around them after witnessing them in person. They shredded last week and made a clear statement. They will definitely shake up the competition this year and hopefully inspire anew for the future of FD. Deane was able to get similar angle to Forrest Wang, but at a higher rate of speed which showed me that it's possible to retain speed with style.

well deserved, super consistent runs throughout the whole event, sick angle with little corrections. Can't wait to see his other upcoming runs in the following events!

Forsberg must have been hurt when that clutch shimmy didn't end Deane's run what a pillock
@johng69er7 жыл бұрын
MrFoulksy agree x1000% he tried it to hohnadell too
@descending667 жыл бұрын
Can you elaborate please? never heard of a clutch shimmy before.
@MrFoulksy7 жыл бұрын
BigFudge it just means he held the clutch in where he should have been accelerating. But he kept the throttle pinned so it sounded like he was still accelerating. All that just to try and end the chasers run tut tut.

cheers for the explanation

I know everyone's on the "James Dean" hype train... But remember we still got a full season. And I feel people are looking over some pretty solid people this year. Like Heilbrum. This was BY Far his best event and nearly a win. I honestly felt his battle would have been a omt if he didn't mess up the final corner. I'm expecting him to be very strong this year if he stays as dialed as he was in LB. Not to mention Tuerck probably looked the most solid and consistent he has in a long time and is probably going to be a sleeper in the championship if his car doesn't break. And Odi was just on fire as always. And looked way more solid and comfortable back in his trusty S14. And I feel has a strong shot at the championship if he can just button a few things up over the middle portion of the season. Then there is also Dean Kearny who.. was just driving on a different level than previous years in that Viper. And seems that he's finally getting that car settled and much smoother without losing speed or angle. Then there is Coffman who just to REALLY seem to have cranked up the intensity level this year. And can we take a moment to think about this.. We had a Iris vs Peru final?? The top 5 were Norway, Lithuania, U.S, Peru and Irish.. Thats quite the unique top 5 and podium. And show's the diversity of the sport. Overall. This year is looking to be one of the best in FD. And I can't wait to see how the rest of the events go. Looking forward to the rest of the year. :D
@pablojimenez20357 жыл бұрын
Well said I honestly don't like James because he beat Ryan tuerck
@Vert3447 жыл бұрын
Well he beat Tuerck pretty straight up. lol Can't be mad at him for that. There was a slight gap when Tuerck chased him as well as some mild bobbles in the chase on the second outside wall in front of the judging stand/main grandstand. While Dean laid down a solid smooth lead. Now Lead for lead I'd say they were pretty close. And in honestly I'd say Ryan won on the lead run as he reached all the zones and even scrapped the wall on the second wall ride right before the last transition. BUT Dean pretty much shadowed him the entire run and was much closer than Ryan was to him and without the bobbles/corrections behind him. So Lead for Lead it was close but based on the chase run and the overall Dean had two better runs overall than Tuerck. But still.. a 3rd place for Tuerck is still a great way to start a season. And like I said if he doesn't have car troubles and stays consistent he can be a tough competitor this year.

Yea I guess I was saltey about that

This is also a like a recap to season 2012 when Saito entered FormulaD, he took the series tandem game to next lvl. Now James is doing it, and Piotr is definetily one to watch, one of the few guys in Europe to match James.
@Vert3447 жыл бұрын
I agree... Daigo came in 2012 and completely changed the game in FD. He brought the HP wars from Japan to the U.S as well as his natural Japanese style driving and aggression. But at the same time he did add some diversity to the field that a year prior and that year was dominated by nothing but LS's V8's. Now some years later Dean and Piotr are here and forcing everyone to step their game up again. Dean has that same speed and Aggression as Daigo.. BUT the difference and where Dean does it better than Daigo is in the consistency. Deans very Similar to Daigo but he just does it so much more consistently and is a bit smoother in some aspects as well. Overall I'm loving what him and Piotr are bringing to the table and I think they're really going to shake up the championship this year. But again... as we already saw a LOT of drivers have stepped up their driving with these two showing up. Dean Kearny, Coffman, Heilbrum, Tuerck... don't sleep on any of these guys.
