Elevation NextGen exists so that people far from God will be raised to life in Christ. It’s a place where kids, teenagers, students in college, young adults, and parents of all of the above will find tons of fun and resources to benefit and strengthen their faith! We cover faith, anxiety, friendship, depression, identity, popularity, confidence, leadership, and what the Bible says about those topics. (And that’s probably not all we cover.)
NextGen is part of Elevation Church, a global ministry led by pastor and visionary Steven Furtick. The ministry now has multiple locations throughout the U.S. and Canada as well as a powerful musical expression known as Elevation Worship.

Always love listening to Forrest's song "Rainbows" when times are tough or weird. Not to overly romanticize suffering, but sometimes we need that rain to love the rainbows. The holes and flaws in our lives are where the light can shine in.

YESSS I was listening to all kinds of secular music all my life; fast forward to around 2020 and I started getting, idk, tired of hearing the cursing and negativity that was coming down the pike along with a certain illness, in my music. I made a “surprisingly clean” playlist of secular songs on Spotify and one day one of the recommendations (I guess bc there were a few Surfaces songs on my playlist) was “UP…” I added it and sent it to my daughter bc she also had a “clean” secular music playlist. My life and my attitude changed listening to that song. For a few months after that I didn’t even know it wasn’t “actually” a secular song! (?) I guess ole Lucy didn’t want me to find all the other Forrest songs lol. Next song I listened to was “Good Day” then it was like the floodgates opened. God is TRULY using Forrest for His kingdom. It’s like bc of Surfaces fame with “Sunday Best,” God had a plan in place the whole time to sneak the songs glorifying HIS NAME and HIS SON into our fallen culture. Does that make sense? Anyway, Dear Father in Heaven please bless Forrest and all his collaborators and every other artist glorifying you with music. I pray that you keep them safe, increase their (Your) influence on unbelievers, and through them, usher in a new era of young people who love You. In Jesus’ Holy Name! Psalm 105:2-4 Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. 3 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. 4 Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Ephesians 5:18-20 “…. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I grew up with Forrest and the Frank family. My family and his were really close growing up as we were both home schooled. We were super close as kids and we took so many vacations together. I haven’t talked to him since I was 14 and it’s absolutely wild to see him blown up like this and I couldn’t be happier for him. As a Christian too I love what he’s doing

@@ippsofacto yeah I remember last time I saw Forrest was on a ski trip when I was about 13/14 (I’m 29 now) Then I remember seeing him make music on sound cloud back in like 2017. I literally watched his rise and it was pretty cool to see. A few years ago I ran into his parents at a restaurant and they invited me to sit down with them and talk and we caught up for a while and it was really cool hearing his story from his dad.

You are laughing but Forest has the spiritual gift of feelings. That's why he won't charge for a massage. God helps him feel the tension of another and because of his anointing he can help Spiritually remove that because he feels it and it with his gift remove it. What an incredible gift God has given him! Forest, just remember to give all that tension removed back to God so it doesn't stay with you. God is using you in powerful ways! 🎉

35:22 I have the answer…there are A LOT more Christ followers in the world than we know. A lot of us have been waiting for Christian “Pop” instead of just church praise music (nothing wrong with traditional praise music but idk it all sort of has the same sound after a while). I have had a Spotify playlist forever, I started making back in like 2010 I think, called Jesus Bars and it of course has Lecrae, FLAME, Andy Mineo, Trip Lee, Wande, Tre Gadd, etc but having Hulvey, Forrest, & Caleb Gordon has brought it to a new level.

It's always nice when there's a chiropractor or massage therapist on a tour or one-off (crew signs up for a session). Those are the best tours to be on. I can't say that I've ever heard of the headliner 'doing' the chiro or massage therapy. Most headliners don't want the crew on the tour to look them in the eye--let alone to give them a massage. 😇

i really love the information they got out of forrest. i've been a fan of his music for a really long time. been listening since his surfaces days (i think they're ongoing?) his forrest. days and now his forrest frank days. so it's really great to hear all this info they pulled out of him. i like that he seems like a really normal guy who has prioritized the things that really matter in life, pretty inspiring. some critique for the interviewers. i'm glad they got this info out of forrest but i truly hated they way they spoke. they weren't very articulate in their communication and they were very yes-man to ANYTHING forrest said. didn't feel like they were actually engaging with him. also, i don't know much about this podcast, i came here for forrest, it just feels like most of these guys are fresh out of high school. this podcast didn't feel very professional. felt like a bunch of kind of high (high on the holy spirit?) guys having an overlapping conversation. i don't mean that to be super harsh but i hope it's some valuable criticism that y'all can take forward with you.

also i know he mentioned his older music was secular, and i know what he means, music that wasn't explicitly christian. but i will say, when i was getting into surfaces, as i was listening through their discography i could FEEL that the musicians were christian. something about it.

Hard press to anyone who feels the gospel's are overwhelming.... start with Luke... he was an interviewer of everyone around Jesus.

Whoever did the color grading / exposure with the cameras on this needs practice. It keeps fading in and out of exposure and color. You need to set it so you match the same Kelvin color temperature, and expose for the faces, and then color grade with a rec 709 lut or however you do it
