This conversation utterly exhilarated me. The connection between beauty and trust on grounds of “a shared attunement” is beyond critical, which is to say that when we know certain people also find what we find beautiful, that makes us feel as if we stand “shoulder to shoulder” with them beholding the same mystery, and that alone creates grounds for a profound and powerful trust. Society without trust is basically impossible, and thus a society which is splintering apart is likely a society that is lacking in beauty and corresponding attunement. I also very much like what he had to say on “the commons” being the woodlands between neighboring villages, which is an idea full of implications. Truly an outstanding talk!

God is common for everyone. Relationship of God with us, individuals who are parts of whole is specifiq and different. This reasoning alone solves simultaneous oneness and difference or unity in diversity.
