TALES FROM THE FAR TERRITORY is the first paid expansion pass for The Long Dark’s Survival Mode. Releasing in multiple Parts over the course of a 12-month campaign, TFTFT significantly adds to the world of Great Bear Island and the game’s core Survival foundation, with new Regions, new Gameplay, and new objective-based Tales.

Its crazy watching this guy when I was 12 so I could learn to play Minecraft and now I'm 24, married, father and homeowner. I genuinely searched up 'minecraft dad' to find your channel. I literally grew up watching your minecraft videos as a kid and randomly thought of you lol. I remember watching your pyramid adventure like it was yesterday with the family. Im now 19 at university which is crazy to put it into perspective. smh at youtube removing my comment or making it invisible because of a link to the Hinterland forum. Anyway I was trying to say that the next update is due to be released on Monday the 24th. And also yes there is no correlation between the two stories thus far but there's been some indication that they will connect in some way, it's hard to say whether it will take place in part 3 of the tale or Ep 5 of Wintermute. Therefore I propose that Paul just continue to survive in The Far Territory for as long as he can. Or maybe put off continuing till someone can tell him with absolute certainty that there is no mention of Wintermute in part 3 of the tale.

Yep, keep going been enjoying your content since your first Minecraft vids something like 10+ years ago. As to this play through, I'd say really explore this area, loot everything, go everywhere. You're at 'the end' of sorts (the campaign is different) so enjoy it, have fun, show us everything you can and if you are going to stop till more maps come out, give punchwood a great view by maybe ending with a nice base in that control tower, with a great view, some good food and drink (maybe the last pie for desert) and let him hunker down until the next map come up for 'free mode' that you're playing. On another note Paulie, I'm glad you didn't 'disappear' like I've seen many other youtubers do over the years. I've been here long enough that I saw the first vids on YT when it was created and a ton of really nice, good folks just have 'disappeared' and while not the end of life by any means, you end up thinking 'I wonder what happened to them' I'm glad you're back and making good content that appeals to a ton of folks. If you ever decide to 'take a break' or 'end it' just do your fans a small favor, let em know, most (like 98%) are really forgiving and know 'the grind' of KZbin can mess with mentals, after all we all know a ton of good folks that have made posts 'I can't do this anymore, I've been messed up for a long time, please let me go heal and such' and by and large, most are given all the leeway they need to do so. Not saying that's what happened to you, but I think you get my drift. I wish you nothing but good times as you get fully back into making content and all the pressure/stress that entails, you influenced me into becoming a streamer waayyyy back 9 years ago and I even streamed TheLongDark as one of my most successful games back in 2016. It got me into a few other games and eventually my partnership that year, which let me leave a contracting job that was destroying my back (6 partially crushed discs) I modeled myself on a mixture of folks to appeal and you and X(David Angel) were part of that. I didn't swear on my channel the first 4 years. I eventually 'took that off' and I gotta admit, watching everything you say at all times, despite the bad things happening to you on screen. Is not easy. You do it effortlessly and I'm happy for your success that it adds to. Basically, thank you for a little nudge with your mannerisms that got me into a great career that let me keep working instead of going into a wheel chair and going onto disability. It's not an easy job by any means, but it can be so rewarding, funny and fun. Glad your Italy trip went well, hope the move is going well too. I don't expect anything to come from this message, I just hope you possibly read it and smile a bit. THanks for being you and have a great year(s) to come.

The only place you have to worry about weak ice is Forlorn Muskeg or if you're beachcombing the ocean in Desolation Point, Crumbling Highway, Coastal Highway or In the water on the west side of Bleak Inlet or on the frozen river in Keepers Pass South (connects Blackrock with Pleasant Valley and Milton). Beachcombers in this game search for items that wash up on the waters' edge.

Honestly I'd love to see a Start to finish "MAKE and DO EVERYTHING" series, span multiple seasons with target goals set for each, and the end you have EVERYTHING! Polaroids mark a specific location. If you have a polaroid and you go to that specific spot, you can use charcoal to map and reveal most of the entire region. This is an EXTREMELY usefull, but also extremely rare item.

The hangar is a transition so you can save there. Also make sure to check the top of the tower well.

I love the crampons role-play but all they actually do is lower the chance of breaking ankle or wrist and add a little more time before the ice breaks on thin ice. There isn't really any kind of slip mechanic in the game at all and suddenly that strikes me as weird for a game about winter survival.

GO DO SOME PROJECT ZOMBOID!! Hey Paul, sorry for the loud headline - but I wanted to get my point across :D The game is in a great state - and MUCH better than when you last played, a lot harder too. I think you should give it a go again. A new update (build 42) is coming out very soon it and it will be MAJOR, and the game will no doubt get very, very popular. The last update (41) hit in 2021 and dramatically increased the player count and interest. I'm letting you know, so you can get a head start ;)
