This is from the MET taping of the performance. I have this recording -- off the tv. The soprano was Millo (to die for) and the baritone was Nucci. Also Harolyn Blackwell as the page. It is a recording worth acquiring. He has been better, but considering his age here he is still quite amazing.

I agree with you. I think he was the greatest tenor ever. Every singer has weak spots, but Pavarotti faced them with great maestry and competency. Almost everything in him is not less than good.

Pavarotti weak spots where part of his art and that' s why Pavarotti was a great artist...made of his weak spots great sounds and interpretation... like a man voice (wich is great and gave to his sound a personality) and not like a singer' s voice.
