I'll explain my stance on Forsen. Literally don't watch twitch. If you spend 20 minutes a day watching forsen, for minimum 3 days a week, you would have spent 52 hours a YEAR on wasting your life away and rotting your brain. Go outside, drink filtered water, get off the internet, invest in your career, don't do Snus, act confident, exercise, and DONT watch Forsen. (Daily Forsen or forsen clips are fine tho)

It’s true because we have the Majority Rule. Most people are incompetent to vote: they don’t know the history, don’t know any candidates or their policies, don’t even know basic logic and reasoning (probably failed middle school math). Why would you want to participate in this?

Yeah, he's got some points. There's plenty of people who spend over a thousand hours a year 'being into' politics who are still kept out of the details of the system, keep themselves out, are just dumb, are poisoned on bias for too long, whatever it is it's not really helping them. It's not even relevant if their vote matters, that's all it's going to amount to anyway, if you wanna vote, save some time and just vote.

Voting isn't always just about the national government it's also local authorities, in the UK you are voting for an MP, who can make changes in the area you live. And some of those races come down to a difference of literally double digits

The term "idiot" originates from the ancient Greek word "idiotes" which refers to a private individual who was not engaged in public affairs or politics. Even though one might not feel identified with any political party, it is necessary for the common citizen to know his rights and needs so he can at least vote for the "least bad" in defense of his own interests, if an entire society thought like Forsen, the closer that society would be to slavery.

You dont go to vote alone. You go to vote as a part of a group. Obviously if you think "I'm gonna go out and put 1 vote" then you're gonna not think it matters, obviously. But if you think "me and my community (irl or online)" are gonna go out tomorrow and vote, then you'll obviously wanna do your small 15 mins of contribution to your community. As someone who used to work in political surveys, it's funny that even those mean more than voting, at least in USA. Survey results are still largely crap but at least they use those numbers, they put them on the TVs, they're seen, people take them seriously, I don't think they should but they do. Those do take longer than voting though, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, but I thought it was funny.

He is very right. He thinks from a more selfish perspective than I would, but the conclusion is the same - politics is a waste of time, you have no influence on it, you should spend your time more wisely. If being a selfish materialistic person is not for you then worry about your own personal growth as a person and care for people closer to you instead. Do something that brings you happiness.

@@phai44 1 - no, they are random, in the sense that they are more likely incompetent than not. 2 - of course, because of the majority vote, competent opinions are drowned in the ambient incompetence. 3 - people, as in the whole population, does not know what they want - see 2. 4 - it's a pretty clear analogy for competence. Because we allow the majority vote, what we have in the end is mediocrity at best, or complete chaos at worst.
