The Battle of Big Black River Bridge was fought on May 17, 1863, as part of the Vicksburg Campaign of the American Civil War. After a Union army commanded by Major General Ulysses S. Grant defeated Lieutenant General John C. Pemberton's Confederate army at the Battle of Champion Hill on May 16, Pemberton ordered Brigadier General John S. Bowen to hold a rear guard at the crossing of the Big Black River to buy time for the Confederate army to regroup. The Battle of the Black Mountain (also Capmany or Sierra Negra or Del Roure or Montroig) was fought from 17 to 20 November 1794 between the army of the First French Republic and the allied armies of the Kingdom of Spain and the Kingdom of Portugal. The French, led by Jacques François Dugommier defeated the Allies, who were commanded by Luis Firmín de Carvajal, Conde de la Unión. Though the Spanish right wing held, its left flank was driven back on the first day's fighting. On the last day of the battle, the French overran a key position and put the Spanish army to rout. The battle was remarkable in that both army commanders were slain. A Spanish artillery shell killed Dugommier early in the battle and Dominique Catherine de Pérignon assumed command of the French army. De la Union was shot dead while leading a cavalry charge on the last day of the fighting and was temporarily replaced by Jerónimo Girón-Moctezuma, Marquis de las Amarilas. The Battle of Stamford Bridge (Old English: Gefeoht æt Stanfordbrycge) took place at the village of Stamford Bridge, East Riding of Yorkshire, in England, on 25 September 1066, between an English army under King Harold Godwinson and an invading Norwegian force led by King Harald Hardrada and the English king's brother Tostig Godwinson. After a bloody battle, both Hardrada and Tostig, along with most of the Norwegians, were killed. Although Harold Godwinson repelled the Norwegian invaders, his army was defeated by the Normans at Hastings less than three weeks later. The battle has traditionally been presented as symbolising the end of the Viking Age, although major Scandinavian campaigns in Britain and Ireland occurred in the following decades, such as those of King Sweyn Estrithson of Denmark in 1069-1070 and King Magnus Barefoot of Norway in 1098 and 1102-1103.

The Battle of Kjølberg Bridge (Swedish: Slaget vid Kjølbergs bro) was fought 14 August 1814, during the Swedish-Norwegian war of 1814. The Swedish army had problems repairing the bridge due to constant fire from the Norwegian side of the river. It was then a small Swedish force of 75 men, consisting of jägers from the Bohuslän and Life Grenadier Regiments, passed over the river at a hidden point. Once over they waited for reinforcements but none came; but instead the order of attacking the vastly larger Norwegian force. The Colonel response to the attack order have been famous "It is unreasonable to attack with only 75 men when you face a whole regiment." "But such an order isn't given to me twice. March!" During cheers the Swedes rushed up the hill toward the mansion that was occupied with 600 men. The attack was surprising and decisive. As more Swedish troops crossed, the Norwegians quickly left the stand. This was the last battle fought during the Swedish-Norwegian War. The Convention of Moss, providing a cease fire agreement, was signed that same day.

out of three (four including origins) this is my least favourite. Batman has so much more abilities, even from the outset in the future games that i actually find it quite frustrating going back to it as you have so much less options in terms of movement or combat

i think i like this one the best. its got a great playthrough experience in which almost every place in the world matters. later games opened things up to let us just mess around and have fun but it made a regular playthrough feel like playing the game "wrong". story progression is alot of travelling from building to random building with lots of pointless areas in between, and interrupting the story to meet random villans for side quests that you can totally skip anyway

You taught me to love again, to be loved, you showed me love. This thread is entirely dedicated for you. Though words alone may not be enough to express the amount of love I harbour towards you, Aayzie, I'll try my best to convey it through this thread. I previously made a very small post about it, but I am not satisfied. I also had some grammatical errors in my previous post. And for that I am sorry. The amount of errors throughout were not worthy enough for you, you deserve something better written. something that would engrave myself into you, and you into me. Aayzie, this is our memento, and even if we pass on, this memento would serve its purpose of representing our love we have for another for generations to come. As I write this thread, immense tears of pleasure begins to flow from my eyes as I think of you, of us, of our future together. Last year my life took a turn for the better, I met someone, someone whom I fell in love with immediately, someone that would eventually change my life for the better, and that someone was you, Aayzie. I still remember these moments vividly It was on the 22nd of February 2021 when I first set my eyes upon a precious treasure, a treasure more valuable than the holy grail itself. Something awoken in me that very day, a sensation that was entirely new to me, It was ecstatic, I felt VERY ecstatic. In case you have not seen my previous thread I shall be summarizing it here. I know that it is too short but please bear with me; I want to go on and on but I don’t wish to bore you. I’ll be right back since Aayzie woke up while I was typing this. I kissed Aayzie good night, she just got back from work and is really tired... Anyways, when we finally met up... I froze, the way she starred at me, the way she stared at me with her glazing, energetic black eyes as she twirled her hair between her fingers… her soft fingertips with black painted nails, those fingers…… When Aayzie runs, she looks at me for a brief moment leaving behind a trail of reddish yellow butterflies this might just be on my own perspective though, but that's the beauty of it. Her dash is simply a refined work of art. As I said earlier words alone cannot express my love for Aayzie but i'll have to try my utmost best to convey it through words for readers. While Aayzie herself would experience the love I have for her through backbreaking physical, stamina draining sex.
