6:33 This is major cope. If we define intelligence as the ability to apply knowledge and skills, then it's not just enough to get a high Mensa score. Otherwise why don't we see Forsen or every other Mensa member able to innovate or come up with new interesting ideas or ways of problem solving. It's because there are other aspects to true intelligence. Creativity is important, social intelligence is important, being flexible in your thinking is important. These things are not measured in pattern recognition test. If anything being only good at IQ tests will stifle you. It means your brain is too rigid. Too binary. There's lots of people who are really intelligent and have been able to innovate who have below Mensa level IQ, because they happen to be well rounded and good in other aspects of intelligence as well. Thinking that a 130 IQ man will always be smarter than a 110 IQ man is what dumb people think.

There are different kinds of tests, which measures different intelligence quotas. However, the pattern recognition test(s) has the most evidence behind it to correlate with success, problem solving etc. IQ isn't everything, and it doesn't automatically make you right in a discussion. But it is real and coping doesn't help in the long term.

IQ tests are built around the condition that the person being assessed is familiar with logic tests in the first place. So imagine an isolated human population (like the one on North Sentinel Island) who has never been exposed to geometry, logic or calculus. The assessment would fail to accurately measure their "intelligence" because of their lack of familiarity with the methods employed but if you took their offspring and raised them in a "regular" environment, you would obtain the said 2% even though they are genetically the same people.
