Hey ugh at about 3:57 where you talk about Automatic Support Spell Switching, your misunderstanding what it means. You always have two different types of spells selected at once, the attack spells on the right side R1 to switch them & R2 to use or activate them, then the support spells on the left, L1 to switch them, & L2 to activate or use them. What it means when it says auto support spell switching is that after you use a support spell, it is subject to a cool down time before it can be used again. So if you want to use a different support spell you would have to press L1 swing your left thumb stick around to whichever support spell you wanna use next. However If auto support spell switching is on, then once you hit L2 & use the current support spell it will automatically switch to another support spell that is NOT currently subject to, or in an active cool down state at that time, which will basically allow you to rapid fire all of your support spells off one after another without having to press L1 to open the support spells menu and manually switch to another support spell to use. It will NOT override any attack spell you have selected when it does this at those spells are not subject to cool downs anyway and are all on the right side anyway.

@@BltzZ Cool I hadn't looked into much of the other comments, I just heard you say that and thought well I'll just tell him that's not the case. Thought I can understand kinda what you meant since some of the "support" spells are still technically attack-ish spells like Tendril that zaps health form them into frey. To me it's an attack spell, & a support/healing spell, where as one like Leach that is only a poison-curing support spell, and doesn't do anything to inflict any damage to your opponent.

I just finished it. Turned on performance, remapped some buttons and turn the banter to minimum. I was hesitant about it but I'm so glad I gave it a chance. I don't see why it gets so much hate. I've never played a game like it action wise. It's super fun imo.

@@J-Fool24 to me that's why there's maybe 1_2 games a year cause its about money and not fun games. He'll I'll take an original storyline over something like a COD idk never played them. I'm more in the fantasy /fighting hane communities I got me some tekken 8 and0 perso a 3 reload and at the end of the month ff7 rebirth. Oh Hugh Resident Evil guy here as well. I guess I was more conditioned to like games out of Japan cause I find a lot of western philosophy of profit over quality. Only 1 Japanese company which is square. I'm nervous about rebirth but yhe seem to be all in

I already had it pre-ordered last summer and have been looking forward to it. I learned long ago that demos aren't great representation and ignore the haters. There will always be flames with big games, and I have no doubt this will be good overall.

Thanks for sharing! I played the demo, and what a difference it made in helping me to get adjusted to switching spells during combat! Being able to modify the settings to allow for automatic healing was a welcome change compared to other RPGs I have played! While _Ghost of Tsushima_, _Horizon Forbidden West_ and _AC: Origins_ will probably remain my top favorite open world games, I am still looking forward to playing this game in its entirety!

Auto switch support spells only changes the spell after you use the current one, going to the next spells that isn't on cool down. It won't spontaneously change to a healing spell when you go to attack like was claimed in the video, unless you're spamming L2 expecting it to always attack... Which doesn't work without this setting either. It's actually very similar to the command deck in certain Kingdom Hearts games except you can't reorder it. It's very handy for activating all you buffs at the start of combat or chaining a few offensive supports together while weaving R2 for combos in between without having to open the menu for each spell. It's also not a cheat unless you count combat actually flowing smoothly vs having to spam a radial menu as cheating. It's more optimal to manually select spells often anyway, this just makes the micromanagement optional when it's not needed.

This game is a blast so far I don't get all the hate it's getting. The writing for dialogue can be cringe but this game is still fun. The world has lots of different enemy types all over bosses and crafting materials and loot it's not close to as empty as people who played the demo said it was

When it comes to kicking off a wall to get higher, on ps5 is says to press L3,O at the same time. So am I just crazy or can you just press O into heaven do the same thing without pressing L3 also

I heard Quality mode was the best for some, but thanks for not bashing the game. Just like ff13 series I liked the combat and challenges. My favorite was Lightning's Return. This games giving me Lightning return vibes with some of FF15s open world. Some people say FF15 is longer story wise, but it's not. I've seen people beat FF15 in 18 hours, no hacks. Isn't it just warp strike a bunch and then warp away to recover MP. If people want a long FF game, play Type-O.

I'm 5 hours in and haven't had any issues at all with Ray tracing turned on. So I'd say to at least try it out, and then if you're having issues, switch it over to quality, and then performance as a last resort if you're still having issues. The ps5 was built to maintain the best possibly quality of both resolution and gameplay so there really shouldn't be any issues. If there is, there might be something wrong with your console. This is the future of gaming, it's supposed to look amazing and play amazing at the same time.

Nah I play every single game on performance mode. I only have a PS5 with a 4k TV so maybe you need something else? Because anything other than performance mode and you can easily tell the gameplay is worse and not as smooth. And I would rather have a game please smooth than for it to look just a little better

I would *much* rather not put on that auto evasion, but the fact that you get more exp/drops for combos makes it tough not to. But I'll probably end up only putting it on if I'm farming or something. Only thing I'll definitely put on is the spell switching slow down and stamina increase. Maaaybe the extended knock down, but we'll see as I've only just started playing. Highlighting chars sounds good too, and I'll probably put the banter to Low. I like banter. Keeps the world feeling alive, but too much can make it annoying. Anyways - Enjoying so far.

Actually ray tracing mode + 120hz mode is the best way to play the game since it activates VRR and 40fps target which has better frame pacing than performance + non-120hz

True, I personally don't have a HDMI 2.1 monitor so I can't take advantage of 120hz on PS5. But either way, PC forspoken is insanely better. 4K60fps with my build max settings.

This is why I think souls games have turned this generation into absolute idiots, who think if its not hard enough, then your doing it all wrong because they have struggled their backsides off playing games.

You know, this game is giving me an urge to replay Final Fantasy XV. It lacked the Parkour, but everything else just seems better, and it's a longer game. I've not played Forspoken, but I just don't feel I really want it, unless I get it on deep sale, when RTX 6000 series cards are commonplace, and I can get my i9 1850X rig with 128GB ram without breaking the bank

What you call broken or cheating. I call stacking the odds in one's favor. And there is nothing wrong with that!. I just cheesed the hell out of RE3R by going through Inferno with 4 defense coins and 4 healing coins and Rocket Launcher. I was unstoppable save for the Gammas instant kills.

Put the game on hard mode and allow the no limit auto-dodge It's seems like try to Flex... "look at me in playing hard, but none can hit me exept for the non dodgeble Attack" ... I'm play on normal and Is way harder with no illimited auto Dodge -imho P.s. the fast recovery stamina looks very cool anyway

I think the reviews are a little too harsh and it's become the cool thing to hate on this game sadly. Now make no mistake, it's not winning game of the year. It's a brand new IP, with silly dialogue moments and is not optimized to the best it can be. However, it is a fun game and really impressive with how the movement, combat and open world size is. Actually playing the game is fun. I give it a solid 7/10.
