I mean, when you get right down to it, howitzer cannons are basically enormous rifles that shoot ammunition in a similar way that normal rifles shoot ammunition (especially the M119A3) so it's all pretty much the same.

This is one of the proudest moments of my mothering life, and I WILL NOT miss it. No matter how I have to get there, I will get there. And I hope to pin on a cord or two for those whose parents really couldnt or decided not to go.

How come American soldiers can't seem to march in step (and yes, I too was an out of step US soldier in my youth)? These soldiers were moving around at attention and parade rest, and many of them don't seem to know how to salute properly. All of these details give the impression that these young men are lacking in discipline, and that the training they received was subpar. I truly hope that is not the case given the important duties that they are about to perform.

D&C is part of the disaplin of being a soldier. And part of being a team. That's one of the reasons you do it. And it makes you feel better about yourself and being part of the team. They made us do D&C slot the first couple of weeks. We hated it. But when we were marching it looked good.

Getting families to graduation is a way to garner support from the families. It’s a big commitment that most kids don’t do unless they are qualified or really want to. Out of 470 hs grads from a high school only 4 joined the military. That’s because no one want to constantly deploy to places for reasons only politicians and corporations know. The pay and benefits are better than anything outside to include a college graduate after a few years but the sacrifice for them and families are very very high

Before anyone starts bitching about what I'm going to say, look it up on the internet. It came from the tradoc commander. Today's kids don't play sports. So they have a hard time throwing the grenades. That was part of our training. We had to qualify with them. Then we got to throw 2 live grenades.

Okay..................I'm going to show my age. When I was active duty (1970-72) one had to EARN a beret. Very against them being standard issue. It's like everyone getting a trophy. All it does is dilute the importance of those who have earned theirs. And I thing the new uniforms just look too Airforce'ish. Hate-em.
@Kqn372 жыл бұрын
Ok boomer. Well its not like a trophy. Because it's a hat. It means something to you as a trophy but. Are you gonna go bitch to the French too because they wear betets? They didn't choose to wear it. In the 1700s only certain units wore green. If you wore green in 1970. Shojld they have come.haunt you because you didmt earn that color?
