Sandwich is a salt mine in Windsor Ontario. Wich means salt and the salt is found under the sand. The Canadian side of the fort is now Ceasars casino.

My best guesses at translating the key A. Logemens du commandant --> Commander's lodgings BB. corps de garde --> Guard corps C. gardin au Roy --> Roy's Garden (a Pierre Roy lived in Fort Pontchartrain in 1708) or more likely King's Garden D. cinestiers?? --> Cemetery? E. moulin a farine acheval?? --> mills for flour __? F. L'eglise?? --> Church GGG. Grange et stables --> barn and stables H. magasin a poudre --> powder store I. Logement Tudaussoisu? --> Priest's quarters K. boucherie --> butcher L. jardin de ??? --> Garden of __

Wow that’s super cool! Maybe your ancestor saw the Nain rouge or loup garou! Your ancestor probably saw Indian attacks and French soldiers, super cool.

Would love to see a re-build of Fort Detroit where it stood at the time of Pontiac's Rebellion similar to Fort Michilimackinac in Mackinac City. But it'll never happen. That area isn't exactly the safest place around.

on the highgrounds next to the water would have been the hold out you can see where the elevated hill he refered to is now winmill point and there is a still a creek there called "fox" creek where their bodies would have been put

@@moderngraffics I know the creek. You can see it on approach. So the high ground next to the water on the same side as the creek? Or the opposite side?

@@mrmrssherman it would be hard to dsay an exact spot at this time to kill 1000 people over 2 days, 100 captives got away and retreated back toward ohio, and about 10-15 women and children were killed in fort detroit over the next couple days tied to stake and shooting with arrows

Dude, a little practice with your script and a little better research in Native culture and politics, and New France history would hopefully better equip you to raise this presentation above its current hack-amateur, ill-prepared ramble.
